The area is well known for its dinosaur footprints and bones and it is possible to book tours on the beach to see these. The area is popular with kitesurfers and good for beach games. There is a seasonal dog ban on the beach west of Hanover Point from May to September. Dogs are welcome between Hanover Point and Brook Chine year round.
