Step over the threshold, taking care to duck beneath the original low doorway, and discover a cottage where character meets contemporary comfort. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the cosy sitting-room, perfect for curling up in front of a favourite film, to the bespoke kitchen with its hand-painted tiles and elegant deVOL taps. The result is a relaxed and inviting space that feels both special and wonderfully homely.

As evening draws in and the stars begin to appear overhead, head upstairs to two restful bedrooms. The staircase is steep, with a handrail to assist your ascent, adding to the cottage's traditional charm. At the front, a sumptuous king-size bed promises a restful night's sleep, while the double bedroom to the rear enjoys lovely views across the trees and garden. The beautifully finished shower-room features soft cream tiles, brass accessories and a heated towel rail, perfect for warming up after a day exploring the coast.

Outside, the tiered garden offers two lovely spots to make the most of the fresh Devon air. Start the day on the upper decking bench, just outside the back door, with a morning cuppa and the sound of birdsong for company. After a day of coastal adventures, head down to the generous lower decking, where a barbecue, chilled drink and relaxed evening in the garden await.

Being in the centre of the village there is restricted street parking, however if a space is free you can park overnight just outside the cottage. Never fear if you're struggling to park as there's plenty of parking in the free car park just around the corner.
