Abelwood Lodge is hidden away in a north Devon forest retreat with a lake and miles of walks yet within easy reach of Woolfardisworthy (Woolsery) village where you will discover the locally renowned Farmers Arms, a convenience shop for all your essentials and that all-important fish and chip shop - the perfect option for your first night meal whilst soaking in the views from the decking. The lodge offers the perfect backdrop to a truly magical retreat for families, couples or even a solo traveller. Once discovered, you will want to return year after year!

This gorgeous newly built holiday abode offers a wow moment combining fabulous styling with the best of modern living. The open plan living-area floods with light thanks to the bi-fold doors and captures the true beauty of the setting no matter the season, whether cooking up family feasts in the fully equipped kitchen, dining al fresco on a summer's evening or snuggling into a sofa for a family movie night on the Smart TV in front of the crackling wood-burner.

The wow factor continues through to the three bedrooms, there are two king-size rooms offering super comfy beds, crisp fresh linens complemented by gorgeous accessories and TVs. Bedroom one has an extra special en suite bathroom with a roll-top bath perfectly positioned to take in the forest view - you may even spot a deer. The bunk bedroom is suitable for young and old with a view across the lake and yet another TV. Finally, there's a swish shower-room shared by bedrooms two and three with complimentary toiletries.

This beautiful lodge flows seamlessly, linking the inside and out, simply pull back the bi-fold doors and extend the living-area out to the decking. After a day of walking, exploring or surfing the waves at Westward Ho! fire up the barbecue and enjoy a sundowner sat around the table. Being within a forest retreat you do have neighbours however each plot offers privacy but is not enclosed therefore children can play together and neighbourly hellos can be exchanged around the lake! As the night rolls in and the stars twinkle above, head to the fire-pit and toast yummy marshmallows, but please remember to look out for one another near the unfenced lake.
