DoubleWith a winning combination of contemporary comforts, character-filled living spaces, exposed beams and many other original features, just yards from the rolling surf at Abereiddy beach and the iconic, enchanting Blue Lagoon, The Beach House offers the perfect destination for a memorable Pembrokeshire holiday.
Take in the spellbinding beach and sea views from this tranquil coastal retreat. Sleeping six and dog-friendly, it’s ideal for family and friend get togethers, in an area which has something for everyone, whether you’re a beach lover, swimmer, surfer, walker or someone who is simply looking for a slower pace of life by the sea. You’re surrounded by an area of outstanding beauty on the St David’s Peninsula. Explore the world renowned Pembrokeshire Coast Path from the doorstep and discover glorious beaches, craggy coves, pretty seaside villages and golden sands.
Step inside The Beach House and let your coastal adventure begin. Recently refurbished, retaining seafaring charm, modern comforts blend seamlessly with the original, creating an idyllic seaside retreat. Open the stable-door in the kitchen, for a cooling sea breeze on a summer’s day, gaze out across the ocean and take in the fresh, salty, sea air. The kitchen has all you need for some tasty holiday cooking. From the kitchen, step inside the delightful, sea-facing sitting-room, with comfy sofas, exposed beams and a blissful, cosy wood-burner for chillier evenings.
When it’s time for bed after a day in the fresh Pembrokeshire air, the stylish twin room is located on the ground floor, next to the cloakroom. End the day with a luxurious soak in the deep bath or take a refreshing shower in the ground floor bathroom. The utility-room with washing machine/drier is also ideal for doggy care.
On the first floor, two sea-facing double rooms are found, one king and one high double. Nothing beats waking up to the sound of the sea.
The lawned garden is spacious with views across the coastline. Enjoy sunny breakfasts or dinner al fresco under the stars after the magnificent Pembrokeshire sunset.
There’s lots to do in the area for everyone. Book a boat trip in St David’s to spot the local sea life. The scenery is simply breathtaking. Pods of dolphins are often seen swimming off the coast. Children love Dr Beynon’s Bug Farm, featured on television. Try some bugs for lunch! Try coasteering with TYF based in St Davids, take a trip to the Cathedral or to Fishguard and Newport a little further north or to popular seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot in the south.
Children love a day out at Folly Farm, Heatherton or jump for joy in the trampolining centre in Haverfordwest.
From The Beach House, the nearest supermarket is CKs in St Davids, where you will find everything you need and more. It has an in-house bakery, butcher's section and post office. There is also a very well stocked shop at the garage, closer to Abereiddy, in Square and Compass. There’s a choice of good eateries in the area. For the best fish and chips and delicious seafood, choose The Shed at Porthgain. The Sloop there offers great pub food, along with The Bishop’s in St Davids or Cambrian in Solva.
Whether you choose to take a break in the summer, to enjoy all that this glorious area has to give, or during the autumn or spring, a less busy but no less beautiful time or during the winter, Christmas markets, the peaceful stillness and memorable music events and services in the Cathedral, frosty beach walks, crashing waves and cosy nights in gathered around the glow of the wood-burner, The Beach House is appealing throughout the year. A holiday here would stay with you forever.
