Bunk-bedsDormy House is single-storey beach house, nestled in an idyllic spot, just moments away from the stunning beaches of this much-loved village, along the north west Norfolk coastline. Set only a few metres from the soft sand dunes and wide, golden shoreline of Old Hunstanton, this traditional holiday home offers comfortable and welcoming accommodation in a truly special coastal setting with the most spectacular sunsets.
Dormy House boasts a light and bright kitchen/dining-room, perfect for families and friends to enjoy special occasions together. Open the sliding doors into a generous sitting-room with an open fire, ideal for unwinding by after a day by the coast. With three bedrooms, including one double, a twin, and a bunk room for little ones, there is flexibility for families and friends to enjoy a special holiday together, whilst a useful utility-area keeps coats, boots and sandy beach gear out of sight.
Outside, the enclosed garden provides a secure and sheltered space for both children and dogs, with a lawned area, established planting, and outdoor furniture, perfect for relaxed summer barbecues, al fresco dining, or simply soaking up the fresh sea air.
Just a short walk from the house, spend your days exploring the local beaches and paddling in the shallow waters, building sandcastles with youngsters and creating special memories together.
The nearby Victorian town of Hunstanton is a fun day out with plenty for everyone, including a lively high street with a range of independent shops, popular attractions, including a theatre, bowling, the Sea Life Centre, and the traditional seaside funfair. Wander the traditional promenade with your four-legged friend or for something a little different, take a trip out on the Wash Monster, an amphibious vessel which allows you to peruse the coastline from the sea, great fun for all!
This stretch of coastline is renowned for its natural beauty and relaxed, seaside charm, making it especially popular with families and water sports enthusiasts. Watch kite surfers skimming across the water or enjoy quieter, more peaceful moments along the shoreline. Nearby Holme-next-the-Sea offers a more tranquil setting, with wide open spaces and the chance to spot grey seals basking along the shore.
A short drive around the coast is the pretty village of Thornham, home to Drove Orchards; a vibrant destination with more independent shops, eateries, and a farm shop, is great for picking up some local produce to cook up a feast back at your holiday home. For special occasions a visit to The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe, renowned for its locally-sourced seafood and far-reaching marsh views, particularly breathtaking at sunset, is a must.
Whatever the reason or season, Dormy House is where your Norfolk holiday begins and one you'll want to return to time and again.
