Wind your way along the country lanes to uncover this magical retreat, that's waiting to greet up to nine lucky guests. Tucked deep within the Cornish countryside, it's a place where tranquility reigns and every corner feels touched by a little enchantment. Perfect for a gathering of family or friends, this beautifully crafted home offers gorgeous interiors, a bucolic setting and the promise of moments that feel truly heaven sent. From sunlit mornings to firelit evenings, it's a retreat made for resting, reconnecting and rediscovering the joy of slowing down.

With parts dating back to the 16th Century, Higher Trevorder Farmhouse is packed full of charm and character yet today it stands as a beautifully crafted modern home, thoughtfully restored to offer warmth, comfort and effortless contemporary living, where history and modern life sit gently side by side.

At the heart of the home lies the kitchen/dining-room, a true country haven where a wood-burner glows softly in the corner and the scent of something delicious drifts through the air. A chef's delight, this beautifully equipped space invites you to create culinary delights together and gather around the kitchen island for lively chatter with your favourite tipple in hand. The sitting-room beckons for nights curled up on the sofa in front of the open fire, whilst the games-room, complete with pool table and large TV, sets the stage for lively after dinner pool competitions and wonderfully relaxed nights together.

Throughout the house, doors open out onto the gardens, inviting you to wander outside at a moment's whim and embrace the delights of nature.

When bedtime beckons, five beautiful bedrooms await promising deep sleep and sweet dreams. Three have their own en suites and there's also a further family bathroom. The main bedroom feels especially indulgent, with a Juliet balcony overlooking the grounds and a wonderfully spacious en suite complete with a deep bath for lingering soaks and a separate shower to greet the day.

Outside, the gardens unfold like a series of gentle spaces. Sunlit corners for morning coffee, lawns for games, quiet nooks for reading and open spaces perfect for dining in the best of the Cornish sunshine. As night falls, this designated Dark Sky Area becomes a place for gazing up at the vast, open heavens, watching as the stars quietly emerge, scattering themselves across the sky.

When you want to get out and about, there is much to discover. Pop on your walking boots and wander the quiet country lanes, or strike out onto Bodmin Moor with it wide open spaces, gravity defying rock formations and charming moorland villages waiting to be discovered.

The foot and cycle trails of Cardinham and Lanhydrock woods are only a short drive away, offering leafy adventures beneath towering trees. You might choose to wander the historic house and parkland at Lanhydrock itself, or, for something a little less energetic, simply lose yourself in the beauty of its majestic house and gardens, it's a place that delights both young and old in equal measure.

The famous Camel Trail starts on the edge of Bodmin Moor, winding all the way to Padstow. This gentle, largely traffic-free scenic route is perfect for walkers and cyclists alike, with riverside stretches, wooded paths and wide open views. Along the way, pause for a Cornish cream tea or sample award-winning local wines -it's a must you are on holiday after all.

You're perfectly placed for exploring either coast. To the north, discover the surfing beach of Polzeath or the gentler waters of Daymer Bay, the culinary treasures of Padstow, and the charm of Port Isaac, known to many from TV's Doc Martin and The Fisherman's Friends. To the south, spend the day at the stylish sailing town of Fowey or enjoy the timeless seaside appeal of Looe, a working fishing harbour where you can even join a local trip and catch your own supper for the evening!

Closer to home, the little farm shop becomes a favourite ritual - a morning wander for coffee and a warm pastry, a browse through seasonal produce, or a chat with the people who know this landscape best.

Wherever your day leads, Higher Trevorder Farmhouse will be waiting to welcome you home and we are sure that once you discover our special countryside retreat, you will be back time and time again.
