Come and enjoy a country break like no other, at the glorious quintessential Cornish estate of Lamellen. Wend your way up the drive, passing the beautiful show of camellias, magnolias and rhododendrons along the way, waiting for your first glimpse of Lamellen House as she appears majestically before you. You're in for a treat.

Welcoming up to 14 guests, this stunning Victorian manor house is perfect for celebratory escapes, multi-generational summer stays or a good excuse for friends to get together. Behind the splendid façade and impressive front door is a much loved and much lived-in family home, with decor that complements the heritage of the house, creating a warm and most importantly very relaxing holiday retreat.

Start the day with a morning dip in the pool, followed by a full English, courtesy of the Aga of course, and then maybe a set or two of tennis. Burrow your way through the stacked bookcases and wander the 18 acres that surround you, as you revitalise your senses in this wonderful place.

Eat, drink and be merry at mealtimes, challenge the Ronnie O'Sullivan within you with a frame of snooker and retire to the sitting-rooms to throw another log on the fire as you enjoy time together playing charades, board games and having a good old sing-song around the grand piano - don't worry no-one will hear you.

And don't forget your four-legged friend, as a holiday here knocks any stay at the kennels out of the park.

What are you waiting for - let your getaway begin!

Lamellen House has been the home to the same family for generations and you can feel the love and warmth throughout. The current owners now live elsewhere on the estate, on hand should you need any help but leaving you in peace to start creating cherished holiday memories.

With wonderfully spacious accommodation there is plenty of room to party, play or just be together, with quiet places to break away for some private time. Sink into the sofas in the morning and drawing rooms, snuggled up in front of the warming flames of the fire. The shelves are bursting with books to keep the most avid bookworm entertained. A large table awaits in the dining-room for more formal meals, however, you may prefer to dine poolside or out on the terrace in the sunshine, with meals served up from the barbecue and pizza oven.

The kitchen/breakfast room is the working heart of the house, with an Aga and separate range-style cooker, perfect when catering for a large group. But if you fancy a night off cooking, why not hire a personal chef for the evening and have a real celebration?

If you need to work when you are away, there is a private office offering you peace to concentrate and hopefully get the work down quickly so you can get back to having some holiday fun again.

Lamellen House flaunts seven bedrooms, two with grand half-canopied beds, and five bath/shower rooms, so plenty of options for bathing and should you require more there are shower facilities by the pool.

Nestled in glorious countryside close to the village of St Tudy, with its popular gastro pub and community shop, if you want to get out and about, this is a great base for exploring all the delights of north Cornwall. With easy access to the A39, you will soon be off on further adventures.

Embrace the great outdoors, as you head out along coastal footpaths, enjoy a day on the beach at Polzeath, Trebarwith and Daymer Bay or try your hand at sailing or surfing at trendy Rock. Let the whole group have some fun on two wheels as you hit the Camel Trail as it winds its way from Wenford Bridge on Bodmin Moor to fashionable Padstow on the coast, where culinary delights are served around every corner. The pretty fishing village of Port Isaac has been put well and truly on the map, home to The Fisherman's Friends, TV's Doc Martin and two acclaimed chef Nathan Outlaw's restaurants. For Arthurian myth and legend take a trip to Tintagel and the gardens and historic houses at Pencarrow and Lanhydrock are a delight.
