Bunk-bedsWrap yourself in the lap of luxury at this elegant Georgian home, peacefully nestled in the heart of the Cornish countryside, surrounded by verdant pastures, ancient woodland and wide-open skies, yet only a few miles from the north Cornish coast, it invites families and friends to savour their most treasured escapes.
As you pull into the drive and the house comes into view, it's impossible not to feel a sense of awe. Sitting majestically in its surroundings, the house is undeniably grand, yet the warm and inviting interiors make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Inside, every room has been thoughtfully curated by the talented owner. The interiors are a masterclass in exquisite elegance, where period charm meets contemporary comfort. Light-filled living spaces and beautifully appointed bedrooms, each accented with vibrant soft furnishings, create a sense of warmth and delight in every detail.
The country-style kitchen is delightful with its large Everhot stove complete with three ovens, hot plate and induction hob perfect for keen cooks to flex their culinary creativity with fresh produce picked up from the local farm shop. Meals can be enjoyed in the beautiful dining-room, where the large window perfectly frames peaceful views of the garden and natural light pours in throughout the day. On chillier days, the gentle glow of the wood-burning stove creates a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, making every gathering - whether a leisurely breakfast or a celebratory supper - feel wonderfully special.
After dinner retire to the relaxing sitting-room, where large comfy sofas flank the open fireplace, inviting you to enjoy a late night movie, challenge each other to a board game or simply continue the chatter with your favourite night-cap.
When it's time to retire for the evening, make your way up the gorgeous staircase to four beautiful bedrooms, each offering a true slice of luxury. Super-comfy beds dressed in luscious linens promise a restorative night's sleep. The sleeping arrangements include a spacious super-king suite, two flexible 'zip and link' rooms, and a delightful bunk room perfect for children. With two en suite shower rooms and a family bathroom, there are plenty of bathing options for everyone.
Outside, the magic continues. The gardens are lush and tranquil, ideal for long, lazy afternoons, al fresco dining under the stars, playing garden games or wandering through wildflower meadows. There are plenty of quiet spots to pause and unwind, and for a bit of fun there's outdoor table-tennis.
Set in the heart of north Cornwall, an abundance of pleasures await: dramatic coastlines, world-class beaches, welcoming towns and villages and an ever-tempting choice of award-winning restaurants, cafes, pubs and local produce.
Water enthusiasts can head to Rock to try sailing, water skiing or windsurfing, or hop on the foot ferry to Padstow, where trendy shops, galleries and award-winning restaurants await.
You can ride the Atlantic rollers at Polzeath and younger families will enjoy the calmer waters at Daymer Bay. For some fun on two wheels hire a bike in nearby Wadebridge, a charming market town, and cycle along the Camel Trail from Padstow to Wenfordbridge on Bodmin Moor, discovering beautiful countryside, cosy tea rooms and even an award-winning vineyard along the way.
Walkers will be spoilt for choice, with miles of hiking along the coast path in both directions, uncovering pretty villages, dramatic sea vistas and hidden coves, and for a 'good walk ruined', golfers can put their handicaps to the test at St Enodoc Golf Club - home to the world's biggest bunker.
Foodies will be in seventh heaven, with something to delight every taste. From Cornish pasties and delicious ice cream to local cafes and traditional pubs, there's plenty to enjoy for a relaxed bite or a sweet treat. Along with all the culinary delights in Padstow, award-winning cuisine awaits at Nathan Outlaw in Port Isaac, while the St Kew Inn offers a welcoming atmosphere and locally-sourced dishes.
