Zip and linkPerfectly positioned in St Mawes overlooking the clear blue sea towards St Anthony Head and beyond, 27 Marine Parade is a stone’s throw away from the pretty harbour and gorgeous beaches. This really rather special place is ideal for a family summer holiday or a get together with friends and throughout the year.
A characterful traditional three-storey town house with original features, wooden floors and contemporary furnishings, 27 Marine Parade is simply charming. The ground floor is home to the kitchen with lots of room and a handy breakfast-bar for guests to enjoy a snack or chat with the chef. There's even a Nespresso machine for your delicious hot drinks (please remember to bring pods with you). Next door, the dining-room is really rather wonderful, with stylish wallpaper complemented with quirky furniture. The large dining-table is perfect for gathering everyone round to chat about the adventures of the day and double windows take in the sea views. A handy utility-room is also on the floor, with washing machine and tumble-drier.
On the first floor you will find the gorgeous sitting-room with cosy sofas and an impressive Smart TV. Double doors lead out onto the balcony from here and this dreamy spot is perfect for taking in the views whilst enjoying morning coffee or an evening aperitif perhaps! Bedroom one, the bunk bedroom is on this floor with beds the kids will love and the benefit of a spacious en suite bathroom. Bedrooms two and three are located on the second floor. Take your morning tea in the king-size bed looking at the ocean views from bedroom two or perhaps choose bedroom three with its super-king size bed and fabulous en suite shower-room. There is also a spacious shower-room on the second floor so no queuing here for a refreshing shower in this gorgeous home.
Outside, steps lead to several secluded spots to indulge in al fresco dining so you can take your pick; either in the cool shade of the trees or catching the sun’s rays. Throughout the seasons, 27 Marine Parade is perfect for a Cornish getaway.
St Mawes is a fabulous place for a holiday. The village centre is a mere hop, skip and a jump away where you will find a wonderful delicatessen, cafes, waterside restaurants and pubs. The harbour is just down the road where you can sit and watch the boats bobbing on the tide whilst eating fish and chips from the paper on the sea wall, the perfect holiday pastime! Walkers should pull on their boots and head out along the scenic coast path, simply the best way to discover the magical Roseland. There’s a choice of pretty beaches and paddle boards and kayaks can be hired from the harbour so you can explore the many hidden coves and inlets.
The passenger ferry plies the waters to Falmouth, an eclectic maritime town with a great selection of shops and an excellent museum; indeed, with so much close at hand you may decide to enjoy a car-free holiday.
You can also catch the smaller ferry from St Mawes to Place Manor, walkers will love the miles of coast paths and the picturesque coastline around St Anthony headland. If you do decide to venture further afield you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring. Close by, St Just-in-Roseland is very special, a beautiful church by the waterside, the place to go for some peace and tranquility.
Cornwall is blessed with some wonderful gardens. Take the King Harry Ferry across the Fal River and step into Trelissick, Trebah or Glendurgan or head up the coast and visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, discovered and restored over 30 years ago and now one of the UK’s most loved gardens.
However you plan to spend your precious holiday time, 27 Marine Parade has everything you need for a wonderful getaway on the Roseland peninsula.
