Stunning St Mawes is a much sought-after harbourside village on the Roseland peninsula and Our Cottage is perfectly placed just a moment's stroll away from the centre of the village, with panoramic sea views towards St Anthony Head and beyond. The Roseland peninsula is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it's not hard to see why with undulating countryside, pretty hamlets and fabulous sandy beaches alongside secret coves and miles of coast path waiting to be discovered.

Our Cottage sits in a row of pretty, traditional Cornish cottages in prime position in St Mawes, overlooking the Carrick Roads towards St Anthony Head and beyond. In an enviable position, Our Cottage has all the delights of St Mawes on the doorstep making this holiday location perfect for a relaxing getaway. Step over the threshold into the open plan sitting/dining-room where you will find fabulous views across the road towards the sea. With ample seating, cosy window seats and a real fire you will instantly feel at home here. The living area has a nautical theme with eclectic ornaments giving a nod to the seaside location. The dining-table is ideal for sociable meals and with the village centre just moments away why not give the chef a night off and enjoy fish and chips around the table, freshly cooked and delicious!

The functional kitchen has all you need including the all-important dish washer so no squabbling over the washing up here. Bedroom one can be found on this floor overlooking the rear courtyard with 'zip and link' (super-king or twin) beds for either adults or children. A narrow staircase leads to the first floor where you will find two 'zip and link' (super-king or twin) bedrooms, a single bedroom and the family bathroom with separate WC and basin. The two bedrooms at the front have spectacular views over the ocean and perfectly positioned window seats where you can sit and gaze at the view all day. The single room sits at the back of the property and this cute room is ideal for either a child or an adult. The small family bathroom has a bath with fitted shower over and the WC with wash-basin is conveniently next door (please mind the step).

Outside to the front, two benches give you the perfect opportunity to sit in the morning sun and enjoy your coffee watching the world go by. To the rear, through the back door next to the kitchen, a shared courtyard leads to an outside utility-room with a convenient shower (perfect for showering after a day on the beach) and a washing machine and tumble-drier. Next door you will find a WC. A flight of steps lead up to the terrace where you will find a pretty outside space with corner garden sofa and table and chairs. This quiet spot is a great place for al fresco dining in the sun. Access is required by neighbours across the terrace to the patio next door however this is seldom used. Our Cottage is a traditional Cornish abode just waiting for your arrival.

St Mawes is a delightful seaside village with a picturesque harbour and several pretty beaches to choose from. Water sports lovers will enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking in and around the calm waters of the harbour, coves and inlets. There's a great selection of places to eat so you can choose from fine dining to fish and chips out of the paper sitting on the harbour wall and everything in-between. A sprinkling of galleries and boutiques complete this sought-after location. A passenger ferry runs across the bay to the maritime town of Falmouth where you will find a great selection of eclectic shops, restaurants and a fabulous maritime museum. The ferry also runs to lesser-known Place where you can explore hidden creeks and beautiful coastline. Portscatho is a short car ride away, a gorgeous village with the most beautiful beaches and the Hidden Hut where guests sit side by side on wooden benches and enjoy the freshest of local produce (bookings are essential for feast nights). Further afield, the mighty biomes of the Eden Project are an interesting place to visit, or perhaps The Lost Gardens of Heligan, lost in time since WW1, discovered 30 years ago and now restored to its former glory. Days spent in and around the Roseland peninsula will be blissful and in Our Cottage you have found the ultimate seaside location.
