KingNestled high above glorious Sennen Cove in a fantastically unique position overlooking the quaint harbour, Peter's Cottage is a coastal getaway with unrivalled views of the rolling surf on the beach below.
After a careful climb down a newly laid path which winds down the cliffside (don't forget to hold the handrail as the enviable views will capture your attention!), you are led to the entrance of this stunning home. Stepping up inside, there is plenty of room to leave the sandy shoes and wetsuits behind.
The open plan kitchen, dining bar and living area will not disappoint. Every detail in this home has been so well considered by its creative owners. In the kitchen, marble worktops, luxury appliances, modern chandelier lighting, designer crockery and glassware, such a social place with the high breakfast-bar seating area.
This welcoming home is a truly special space to open the cookbook and prepare a Cornish culinary feast, then relax back into the snug sofa in front of the wood-burner and tell stories of sailors and shipwrecks. Step into tranquility with the downstairs marble clad bathroom where indulgence meets sophistication. The centrepiece is the majestic free-standing bath, big enough for two. With a power shower finished in gold and unique tiling, where better to soak away the day.
Upstairs, three king-size bedrooms wrap you with a cosy embrace. All with solid pine floors and doors, two with breathtaking sea views, the main bedroom with an ornate original fireplace and the sound of the sea to send you to sleep with the comfort of luxurious bedding. A second luxury bathroom mirrors the first, again of an impeccable standard.
This cottage offers a sanctuary of serenity amidst the untamed beauty of the coastline and the National Trust land on which it borders.
Outside this granite cottage you will find a stunning decking area with seating and dining options on an elevated terrace with a magnificent sea views, sink into deep filled cushions, cook up a feast on the authentic barbecue.
After a day on the beach the outdoor shower is perfect to wash away the salt and sand from between your toes. This home is a glorious treat in the sun or with a wild storm, at Peter's Cottage you will not be disappointed.
If you're planning a special break with a few more friends and family, close by are Ommen (5681) which sleeps five and The Surf Shack (5675) and The Lookout (5742) which both sleep two, so you can holiday together whilst having your own space.
Babes in arms up to eight months old and children over the age of six are welcome at Peter's Cottage.
Sennen has numerous cafes and surf shops to enjoy. If it's wildlife you are searching for, you are in luck. Reach for your binoculars, choughs flying high, gannets diving for their dinner and if you are lucky enough you will see a dolphin. Closer to home watch the endearing newts in the small pond on the terrace.
Days trips galore, you have come this far so much to explore in the stunning west of Cornwall. Enjoy Marazion with its ancient castle reached across the causeway, (don't forget to check the tide times!). Have a dip in the geothermal Jubilee Pool in Penzance. Book a production under the stars at the Minack Theatre after a day at the magnificent beach at Porthcurno. Visit St Just to explore a variety of local shops selling artisanal crafts and fresh local produce.
Don't forget to buy your fresh fish in Newlyn harbour ready to fire up the barbecue once you're back at Peter's Cottage, or if you prefer a local dish prepared for you, book a table at the local Old Success Inn just a walk down the steps from the cottage.
