Carngowil Farmhouse

A great holiday was had at Carngowil farmhouse. A fantastic location with views all around, the garden was exceptional and we were lucky enough to have great weather for the whole stay so made use of the outdoors for breakfast. The aga kept the downstairs warm enough in the chilly mornings and evenings so there was no need for the fires which were laid up ready to go if needed. The kitchen was well stocked with most things we needed. The beds were really comfortable, not rock hard unlike most holiday rentals. The house was also tastefully decorated and very clean. Plenty of bathrooms if at full occupancy. A great location for the coastal path, and lots to see and do around the area. We would definitely recommend and would love to return. ...

We had a great week at Carngowil Farm, which is in a lovely, secluded location with beautiful garden and is a very well-equipped comfortable house. We have been visiting Pembrokeshire for over 30 years and this is probably the best self-catering property in which we have stayed. There are great walks from the house and nearby. As well as the coastal scenery, there are several interesting ancient monuments within easy walking distance. The beautiful Gwaun Valley, also with great walking, is an short drive away....

Such a lovely holiday. House and gardens are beautiful and peaceful. Great set up for families. Ours kids aged 4 and 7 played all day in the garden. Lots to do locally but could have a great time just staying at the cottage!

Overall the cottage was excellent , we had 10 days of non stop sunshine that really made the holiday special The garden is lovely with loads of space and privacy Wildlife was abundant and the locals very friendly Thanks for a fabulous holiday location - our first time in this part of Wales and definitely won’t be the last ...

The cottage was welcoming and rooms spacious. everywhere was spotlessly clean but homely and comfortable. One could sense the history in the walls and beams. The house is well equipped with everything one could possibly need and then some. All linen and towels of the highest quality and there was crockery and cutlery for at least 30 guests. My only issue were two sofas which were a little on the low side as I had a bad back. The owner is replacing these. The housekeeper and owner were very helpful and easy to contact if any info needed .The quirky period charm of the cottage lent a great deal to the ambiance. The grandchildren , all teens, loved the space and the proximity to Goodwick and Fishguard. This latter having an excellent veterinary service as we found when Alfie our kelpie had need of a small procedure. As a base for visiting the area and seeing porpoise and seal, plus sea kayaking and paddle boarding. There's so much to do we couldn't fit it all in. The grounds and garden are vast, varied and well maintained and the scenery is phenomenal. The climbing frame and picnic table an added bonus. We all had the best time and are hoping to go back again next year to do some of the things we couldn't this year and Carngowyil is our first choice.
