Went as a family group including two youngsters. The boys loved the huge garden, swings and climbing frame. The adults loved the peace and quiet plus the fact that the boys were safe in the garden. Add in the proximity to beaches and the coastal path, it was fabulous....

We had a lovely family holiday at Carngowil Farmhouse. The accommodation is perfect inside for an extended family group with the separate staircase to the main bedroom and two living areas. The space available outside was more than we could have hoped for - the four year old in our group was so excited when he saw the size of the field and play area. It all felt so private and safe for us and our old terrier dog who made many circuits sniffing out the grounds. The hot, sunny weather meant we had several family BBQs on the large terraced area and there was so much wildlife to enjoy including butterflies and bats at night. When we weren’t admiring the views of Pembrokeshire from the garden we visited the many nearby beaches and the walked the coastal path. Whitesands Bay is one of the nicest beaches we’ve visited in the UK. We also had a lovely meal at the Shed Bistro in atmospheric Porthgain village. ...

Have just come back from our stay and already miss it, this property is everything a holiday cottage should be though cottage is selling it short as it is quite a large house, the pictures does not do it justice and the gardens are simply spectacular, our dogs were in heaven as were we. The view from the back garden is incredible, the area is so peaceful but equally there is just so much to do, Whitesands and Newgale are both spectacular beaches nearby. Fishguard is lovely and has everything you need but to be honest you could spend a week in the house and gardens and nearby footpaths and not need to do anything else. The house has so much character and feels so homely and welcoming and the bed was so comfortable. Both the owner and the housekeeper were delightful and so lovely to deal with. I couldn't recommend this place more! I don't have kids but if you do I cannot think of a dreamier place for them to run around the gardens and play on the climbing frame and swings, I cannot wait to go back!...

A gorgeous cottage with beautiful gardens, in a very peaceful location. Great coastal path hiking within easy reach at Strumble Head, lovely local beaches at Abermawr and Abercastle, and only a 30 minute drive to St David's, Dinas Head, Newport etc. A fantastic base for exploring the area, and a lovely cottage to share with family or friends. ...
