Gaze over the stunning views from the large comfy sofa in the sitting-room. Throw open the large patio doors for a cooling breeze on a hot summer's day. Perfect for sunny breakfasts or dinner al fresco, the front decking area is a joy. Take in the far-reaching views. Take care when climbing the open tread staircase to the lofty first floor. Here the open plan design creates the perfect space for a second sitting-area/snug, with a TV, beanbags and a sofa. The table and chairs are ideal for board games or high tea. The views are spellbinding, stretching across the never-ending sea and the craggy cliffs beyond. Just off this delightful area is a super-king room with sea views. There's also a sweet twin room with garden views near the shower-room, which is another room with a fabulous view.
For shopping, there is a well-stocked garage shop in Dinas Cross or for larger supermarkets, Fishguard has a CK's (Nisa) and a Co-Op.
Throughout the year, Cae Cwsg is the ideal holiday destination. There is a choice of beaches to explore, Pwll Gwaelod on the doorstep, do try the fish and chips at the Old Sailors pub, very near the beach, Cwm yr Eglws or the Parrog in Newport, just up the road.
Surfers will be in their element at Newgale or Whitesands along the coast. Try paddle boarding, kayaking or boating at Goodwick or coasteering with TYF at Abereiddy. For a memorable day out, take a boat trip from New Quay to spot the pods of dolphins in the bay.
The world famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is easily accessed from Cae Cwsg, with wonderful walks you can discover craggy coves, sandy beaches and pretty seaside villages. Nearby Newport has a choice of good eateries including Llys Meddyg and Blas at Fronlas. Browse the boutique shops and museum in the historic town of Fishguard, a short drive away, which hosts international music festivals throughout the year. The Abergwaun and The Royal Oak are highly recommended for a leisurely holiday lunch or dinner.
Just down the hill is Goodwick Beach with a park, which children love, cafe and gift shop. For a fun day trip why not catch the ferry to Ireland.
Castell Henllys, a great day out, an iron age village near Crymych, set in thirty acres of woodland. Other fun family days include Hangar 5 for trampolining in Haverfordwest, or go karting, for rainy days the Palace Cinema or Theatre Gwaun in Fishguard. Near Tenby, Folly Farm and Oakwood are popular with families.
