This fabulous abode is a real home-from-home with the most fabulous views, beautiful walled garden and access to a private beach. What more could you ask for? This beautiful Grade II Listed building is part of Porthgwidden Estate and has real grandeur yet feels homely and calming to be in.

Arriving to private estate grounds, The Clock House really sets the tone for your holiday. Entering the house, you are greeted by a large entrance hall where the rooms sprawl off it. On your right you have the small but perfectly formed kitchen with a large pantry for all your holiday goodies. The kitchen overlooks the pretty kitchen garden and has a handy serving hatch to the dining-room, which has charming views over the sea and gardens, in the warmer months slide open the patio doors and enjoy the fresh breeze.

The large sitting-room is just fabulous, with huge squishy sofas to relax into around the large fireplace with a toasty wood-burner to warm your cockles. The sitting-room has the most amazing outlook over your private walled garden, filled with sub-tropical plants and then out to sea, it really is beautiful. There is a fun drinks table, perfect for your early gin and tonics perhaps. The sitting-room is so large there is a second "library" section with a little desk and second TV and sofa, perfect for those wanting to sit in a corner and escape or perhaps plonk little ones in front of the TV.

The sitting-room leads to the principal bedroom, this bedroom also has the most wonderful outlook and you can enjoy a long morning coffee whilst watching the mesmerising comings and goings of the estuary. This bedroom has 'zip and link' beds that can be made into a super-king or twin and the most luxurious en suite bathroom with a free-standing bath and walk-in shower for those long needed soaks. Along the corridor tucked away in the peace and quiet is a second sweet bedroom with a double bed and its own en suite shower-room.

On the first floor you can find two further bedrooms and family shower-room. At the top of the stairs is the bedroom with the best view we think, from this elevated position you can see out over the estuary to the Roseland peninsula, with a king-size bed, it really is special. The back bedroom has 'zip and link' beds which can be a super-king or twin beds depending on your needs. Each bedroom on the top floor has a sink and there is also a family shower-room with a lovely large shower and WC.

The outside space is just stunning at The Clock House, catching the sun throughout the day you can enjoy opening up the large sliding doors from the house to the walled garden which is your own little slice of paradise. The garden has beautiful sub-tropical planting and is reminiscent of a mini National Trust garden, such as nearby Trelissick. There is a pretty covered pond with stunning water lilies but please take care with little ones. The terrace outside the sitting-room has a useful awning that folds out to provide shade for those hot summer days. The old kitchen garden is to the side of the house and catches the evening rays which is perfect for you to enjoy your sundowner.

Not only do you have oodles of outside space at the house you also have access to a private beach and slipway, along with a mooring on offer (by separate arrangement) only 300 yards from the property and there is also handy launching very nearby and at Loe Beach too. Through the pretty gate at the bottom of the kitchen garden and through the grounds of the house and after only a few minutes you will reach the water. There is space to store your boat/kayak/paddle boards here or take a swim at high tide (you can also drive down to the beach).

Babies in arms under six months old are welcomed at The Clock House.

If you are looking to get out on the water you can hire kayaks, paddleboards etc from Loe beach which is only moments from The Clock House and it also has a great cafe which does fish and chips on a Friday (you have to order ahead).

Restronguet Creek is an idyllic spot on the Fal Estuary, perfect for wildlife lovers, walkers and anyone seeking peace and tranquility. The Clock House is situated a short drive from the King Harry Ferry, which carries you over to the stunning Roseland peninsula.

The maritime town of Falmouth has a great selection of eclectic shops, boutiques and cafes, and a fabulous maritime museum the whole family will enjoy. A passenger ferry leaves the harbourside from here over the Carrick Roads to St Mawes on the Roseland and the lesser-known areas such as Place and Flushing.

Further west and the dramatic Lizard peninsula awaits. Head for Kynance Cove, a spectacular headland with stunning views, or perhaps Lizard Point lighthouse the most southerly point in England (and a great place to sample a Cornish cream tea). However you plan to spend your blissful holiday days, The Clock House is the perfect holiday home for all your Cornish adventures.
