Nestled next to St Hubert's Lodge surrounded by tranquil woodlands and green pastures, Underwood Cabin is a delightful rural retreat, perfectly situated on the edge of the Isle of Wight National Landscape, between Yarmouth and Cowes with the glorious Newtown Creek and Nature Reserve close by.

Underwood Cabin sits in peaceful rural seclusion down a maintained private track, and from the moment you arrive you will appreciate the peace and serenity surrounding you. Step over the threshold and the cosy open plan living area welcomes you. The gorgeous kitchen has all you need including a smart Smeg range cooker, washing machine and of course the all-important dishwasher. The farmhouse dining-table is the perfect place to gather everyone around to chat about the day ahead and behind the table you will find the cosy sitting-area with comfy corner sofa, Smart TV and wood-burner, making this the perfect year-round retreat.

The three bedrooms lead off the living area, bedroom one has a comfy king-size bed with a handy desk area just in case work calls. Bedroom two has a double bed and bedroom three has bunk-beds which children will adore. A sleek shower-room with WC and wash-basin is the perfect place for a refreshing shower after a busy beach day, cycling tour or muddy walk.

Outside Underwood Cabin is delightful; enjoy your morning coffee in the island sunshine on the front deck and al fresco dining watching the sunset from the back deck in the evening. Everything has been thought of here to make your stay relaxing, including an outside hot/cold shower to rinse off sandy children, muddy paws, boots and bicycles! Nature lovers should keep an eye out for native red squirrels, hawks, wild geese and white-tailed eagles - just a few must see species. Pheasants, hares and rabbits are also commonplace in the grounds and may come and visit you if you're lucky!

The Isle of Wight is a fabulous place for a holiday and from the moment you step onto the ferry across the Solent the adventure begins. West Wight has all you need for the perfect getaway with beautiful unspoilt countryside, miles of stunning coastal paths for walking and cycling, charming villages and plenty of opportunities for water sports enthusiasts or simply spending time at the beach. Within two miles from Underwood Cabin, the National Trust Newtown Nature Reserve is a picturesque spot where you can explore the pretty harbour, salt marshes, ancient woodlands, and observe an abundance of wildlife including a plethora of migrating birds.

Visit Yarmouth for a walk along the wooden pier and discover an eclectic range of shops, and cafes. West Wight also has some of the best eating and dining opportunities on the island, some with fantastic sea views such as The Hut at Colwell Bay and The Waterfront at Totland Bay. Experience a slice of island history in Freshwater at the historic Farringford House, the former home of Alfred Tennyson, and Dimbola Museum & Galleries, renowned for its delightful tearoom, and of course its year-round photographic exhibitions including its permanent Julia Margaret Cameron exhibition - Queen Victoria's favourite photographer. The sailing mecca of Cowes is a short journey away where you can enjoy one of the many pubs and restaurants on offer, or wander along the pretty promenade all the way to Gurnard with its famous sunset views across the Solent from The Woodvale pub.

Surrounded by blissful rural landscapes, walkers can pull on their boots and explore the stunning countryside with its rich heritage bustling with a variety of wildlife. Hikers will also enjoy exploring the coastal path, or the Tennyson Trail all the way to The Needles passing the Tennyson Monument - the perfect way to discover more of the island's magnificent natural beauty. Explore some of the most iconic landscapes on the island such as the nearby bays of Freshwater, Brook and Compton which are favourites for swimming and known for crystal clear waters enjoyed all year round by enthusiastic cold water swimmers.
