Surrounded by rolling hills and wonderful countryside yet within easy reach of Porthleven's fabulous shops, pubs, restaurants and picturesque harbour. Outside, a terrace planted with lush green climbers provides a private, sunny spot and there is also a small grassy area, the perfect place for a barbecue or to sit and admire the lovely view.
Beautifully converted, this detached single-storey former barn is styled and furnished to create a truly relaxing and comfortable space. Two comfy sofas face the blazing wood-burner, ideal for resting weary limbs after energetic days out exploring, and with both a bathroom and a shower-room to choose from, Lavender Barn is quite simply a perfect retreat for two or four, whatever the weather and during any season.
This peaceful location also has more to offer than the usual holiday cottage as the owner Sarah is a qualified Pilates instructor and sports therapist so for those wanting to stretch those weary muscles or enjoy a massage before or after a day on the coast path, whether a beginner or more advanced, why not book yourself a session in her state-of-the-art studio during your stay, it's only a short stroll from the barn just across the courtyard along with the owners' home.
For walkers, cyclists and beach lovers Lavender Barn is perfectly situated being near both the north and south coasts. The South West Coast Path runs through Porthleven and you can walk for miles along the coast in either direction offering some of the most spectacular views in Cornwall. There are many other sandy beaches nearby for surfing and swimming. The nearby Lizard peninsula is fascinating with numerous coves and inlets. Kynance Cove, Mullion Cove and Cadgwith are a few that are a 'must' and the Lizard Point has the most southerly cafe in Britain perched high on a cliff, perfect for seal spotting.
To the west, Cornwall gets quite wild and diverse and is equally beautiful. Land's End, the Minack Theatre, Porthcurno and Sennen are but a few places to visit and all within an easy drive. Lavender Barn makes a welcoming place to return to each day; enjoy the evening sun in the garden or cosy up in front of the wood-burner.
