Nestled in the beautiful South Hams village of Kingston, Laurel Cottage is a delightful property which has been converted from a 18th Century linhay standing proudly in a lovely garden setting with a number of specimen plants, including its very own fig tree. Approached via a couple of sets of shallow garden steps, the raised outlook of Laurel Cottage over the garden courtyard provides a lovely spot for your morning coffee, fresh from the thoughtfully provided Nespresso coffee machine.

Styled and finished to a very high standard, this charming cottage is beautiful both inside and out, with its stone and brick detailing retained from the original building creating a fabulous holiday environment – you will look forward to returning to Laurel Cottage after a fun-packed day, and won’t want to leave at the end of your stay. Situated in a rural location with a perfectly placed sun-trap of a patio within the fully enclosed garden, Laurel Cottage has been designed with privacy as paramount; therefore even though the cottage is within the owners' grounds, you will not see or hear a soul save for the resident wild birds (lesser spotted woodpecker, blue tits, dunnocks, coal tits and robins), unless you want to of course.

Not only are you surrounded by the most idyllic unspoilt countryside, you are within one mile of the golden sands of Wonwell Beach, which nestles beautifully in the mouth of the stunning Erme Estuary with access to the South West Coast Path. Wonwell Beach is also dog-friendly all year round, so your well-behaved four-legged friend will be delighted!

Based in the glorious South Hams, the Georgian town of Modbury is only four miles away, and the gems in the South Hams’ crown – Dartmouth, Totnes, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Bigbury-on-sea – are only a short drive away. Whether it's culture, beauty and sight-seeing you seek, or action and adventure, the South Hams and its array of charming villages has something to offer everyone.

For the adventure seekers in your party, you are spoilt for choice. Fancy a spot of paddle boarding, body boarding, or perhaps kayaking? That’s easy – these activities are catered for in abundance throughout the south coast. Or perhaps a walk along the coast and estuary, the views will simply take your breath away, especially if you are brave enough to take in the view from one of the dramatic clifftops.

However, your holiday aim may be to relax and unwind – if it is, you have chosen the perfect spot at Laurel Cottage. Within this friendly little village there is a charming pub within walking distance and you will be guaranteed a true Devon welcome. So after a day of lazing in the fully enclosed, private garden with a book, why not treat yourself to a stroll to this delightful pub and enjoy being catered for.

In a nutshell, this stylish property, set in the most idyllic location, surrounded by all the beauty, adventure and activity the South Hams can offer is the perfect all year round holiday destination for all occasions.
