Moonstone is a delightful single-storey, one bedroom, detached cottage just 1.5 miles from the rugged north Devon coast and the dramatic coastal path. At low tide vast expanses of sand appear at Westward Ho! and Instow which are dog-friendly all year round. Back at the cottage you have use of a wonderful paddock where your dog can run freely whilst you watch the setting sun. Moonstone is located in an unspoilt rural area within the grounds of the Owners' home and yet feeling very independent and private – an ideal year-round retreat. The cottage has an open plan living-room with kitchen and dining area with French windows to a little enclosed courtyard – there is also dedicated outside space for you at the front of the cottage. The double bedroom is bright and spacious and it has a pretty en suite bathroom.

This part of rural north Devon is very unspoilt and there is a real sense of space. Enjoy stunning coastal walks at Bucks Mills – the nearest access to the coast with a little path down to the cove there, or around wild Hartland Point. You can take a boat trip from Bideford Quay to the wild bird sanctuary at Lundy Island. There are beautiful sandy beaches at Instow, Saunton Sands or Braunton Burrows (a World Heritage UNESCO Site and the largest expanse of sand dunes in the UK). For Arts and Crafts try the Burton Gallery in Bideford, which also has a great cafe. There are some excellent local pubs – The Hoops, which you will pass before turning off the A39 for Moonstone, The Bell at Parkham and The Farmer's Arms at Woolsery are opening in 2018 after full refurbishments.
