Miss Vos July 2025

Very nice and quiet place in an authentic village in the Yorkshire Dales National park. With a beautiful garden and viewpoints. A lot to discover in the surroundings. A place you want to return to.

Mr Greig August 2025

Low Rigg is in a fabulous location in Muker just a stones throw from the pub and the start of some stunning walks and the river. It also offers easy access to nearby places and the rest of the dales. It's quiet with beautiful views. The kitchen and downstairs are dated, the kitchen in particular is small with no space to store food in cupboards, far too much clutter and a very small fridge. It needs to be brought up to date to accommodate a family of six which the property is advertised as doing. Parking is also a problem unless you have a very small car. Parking at the property is in the garden and involves trying to manoeuvre a car through a back gate with hardly any space to do so. The only available and stress free parking was down on the road as the only other logical space in front of the property was commandeered by the neighbour who would leave a traffic cone out very day with a sign telling you not to park there as the farmer needed access to the field. We agree! Low Rigg is in such a wonderful spot in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside where you can start a good day of walking right from your doorstep. The views are amazing and you are away from all hustle and bustle. We try to have as much information on the cottage as possible on the website to make sure you find the perfect place for your holiday, so we are sorry you found the kitchen to be not quite how you expected. We have parking advertised as 'on the road' and this would not be designated but there are usually enough spaces around the village to park safely with an additional car parking area alongside the road into Muker. As a popular walking destination, it may be that the farmer took the precaution of keeping a cone nearby to prevent parking into the lane so tractors can get access past the cottage. It must have been so relaxing to stay in the heart of the village so close the local pub! Sarah, Customer Support...
