We had a great time at Beacon Hill Barn and thoroughly recommend a holiday there. Very comfortable bed with lovely crisp white linen and a super bathroom with an excellent over the bath shower. The open plan kitchen/lounge/diner is very good with easy to use oven and hob. Not always the case in some places! Nice touches like home made cake and flowers. The views are great over the fields - not forgetting the sight of the on-site sheep and the lovely little white Shetland pony called Maggie. The photos of the property and surroundings on the Classic Cottages website are perfect to describe everything. We visited Petworth House (twice), Leonardslees Lakes and Gardens, West Dean Gardens, The Weald open air museum (home of The Repair Shop) and Winkworth Arboretum. At this time of the year (May) the rhododendrons and azaleas are at their best. The deer park at Petworth House is great for walks. These places are all within a 30 - 50 minute drive from the Barn. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet Hugo and Jo as they were also on holiday. However, Hugo kept in touch by text messages to make sure all was well and we hope to meet next year....

Met by the hosts. Lots of info about the barn and local amenities given Exceptional location and property, plenty of walks nearby. Extras like bbq, washing line, detergents and cleaning equipment for during our stay. Hosts also provided us with extra bedding for our daughter and husband to stay with us for a few nights. Very accommodating, thank you. A Lovely walk following footpaths to the pub in the next village. Lots of wildlife to be seen, especially from the wonderful ‘picture window’ at the barn….kites, buzzards etc, make sure you bring your binoculars. Excellent food pubs locally including the Thai Restaurant ...
