We visited Dar View in February 2025 and, as advertised, it was a very well-appointed house in an ideal location which is both quiet, close to the coastal path and only a 2 min stroll from a lovely village with all you need. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious and well-equipped with very comfortable beds. Classic Cottages staff were very helpful in addressing some out of hours issues which when addressed, will ensure Dar View ticks all the boxes....

Dar View is a lovely property but is a little unlike most rental properties as the owners also use the house. This meant that there were a large number of drawers/cupboards and even rooms that can't be used by guests. I think if we had known this beforehand we probably wouldn't have booked it as part of the holiday experience we like is to be somewhere that feels like yours for the week. There was no welcome pack and felt a bit like we had to hunt around for things. Classic Cottages were very helpful resolving an issue in the garden. As mentioned in other reviews, we did have to use the dishwasher a lot as there aren't a large number of plates, glassware etc for the number of guests the house accommodates. For us, we wouldn't stay again because of the shared nature of the house but it is a lovely house, location and amenities so would certainly come back to the area again. ...

The location is excellent very quiet lane and easy access to the village shops, butchers, bakers, fishmongers etc. Lots of walking straight from the front door, to the beach, coast path etc. However, the property lacks a rental feel, as most of the cupboards are locked and marked "for owners use". Lack of cutlery and plates, etc., which would be a major problem for a large group. Luckily, we were only 4 adults and 2 toddlers... but had to wash up/use dishwasher after every meal. The TVs are definitely NOT smart! One didn't work at all and the other had a few channels but very poor reception... Overall a good week, with good weather but probably wouldn't stay here again......
