We spent a most delightful week at Pengelly Manor. It was the ideal place for us to get together as a family with lots of space inside and out. Everything had been thought of. House was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and utensils, lots of storage in the kitchen. Welcome goodies were such a lovely touch. Lovely house and garden with magnificent mature trees and sense of wildness and silence. Very therapeutic. Well equipped with full sized pool table. Sense of history of the place is strong with flagged floors and well equipped kitchen with electric Aga. Weather was dreadful for our stay so games and log fires, which was lovely. A lovely old flag stoned floored spacious Cornish house, comfy beds and a great place in which to spend a relaxing time with friends. The garden is a delight, it's as if the house grew from it amid the rambling roses that clamber up its's walls! Stayed for 2 nights but felt we'd been away a week. Very relaxing. Would recommend a trip to the National Trust's Cothele and to walk down to the estuary and have tea in the cafe garden there. ...
