Lovely house and garden with magnificent mature trees and sense of wildness and silence. Very therapeutic. Well equipped with full sized pool table. Sense of history of the place is strong with flagged floors and well equipped kitchen with electric Aga. Weather was dreadful for our stay so games and log fires, which was lovely. Undiscovered Cornwall away from mass tourism....

A lovely old flag stoned floored spacious Cornish house, comfy beds and a great place in which to spend a relaxing time with friends. The garden is a delight, it's as if the house grew from it amid the rambling roses that clamber up its's walls! Stayed for 2 nights but felt we'd been away a week. Very relaxing. Would recommend a trip to the National Trust's Cothele and to walk down to the estuary and have tea in the cafe garden there. ...

We had a lovely stay at Pengelly Manor. 6 adults, 2 children (7&5), a baby (11mths) and a dog. House is large, beautiful rooms, extremely well equipped with gorgeous gardens. Not ideal for the baby as many hazards, but with 6 adults we were able to ensure she was kept safe (note: you'd need to bring your own travel cot/high chair etc if bringing a baby)....

A lovely place to stay, especially over Christmas in a location that was close enough to home to be convenient but remote enough to feel like a holiday. Really did feel like Christmas at the Manor!
