A wonderful cottage! Beautifully furnished, well equipped, spotlessly clean and situated in a lovely village close to many places of interest. You couldn't wish for more! If you're planning a holiday in Devon, this is the place!

Agatha Cottage is well presented and equipped, in a good location, and we enjoyed a very comfortable stay for a week. We would be happy to return.

We had a lovely stay at Agatha Cottage. The house is very tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, comfortable and located within easy reach of numerous locations including Greenway, Coletone Fishacre, Broadsands Beach, Brixham and Dartmouth. We would love to visit again and would certainly recommend it to family and friends.

Agatha Cottage was so welcoming and we had a wonderful week, exploring the area. Would highly recommend.

Agatha Cottage comes highly recommended. There are many thoughtful details that make the cottage feel like home. It is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings. The cottage is also perfectly placed for walking and visiting key local attractions. We hope to return.

A beautifully furnished and well-equipped cottage in a lovely location.

Agatha Cottage exceeded our expectations. The interior is stylish, and importantly comfortable, very well equipped and of course spotless. There are also nicely situated tables and chairs for eating outside on the sunny days. The village of Galmpton is very nice in itself, with a good local pub for meals, and only a short distance from Brixham, Broadsands Beach and National Trust properties. Our visit to Agatha Christie's holiday home Greenway, which is very close, was a highlight of our holiday.

The cottage is beautifully decorated, furnished and maintained. It was spotlessly clean and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and at home. There are many beautiful walks and interesting places to visit in the area and we would love to return.

We stayed at Agatha Cottage in 2019, not long after it had been renovated and offered on Classic Cottages, and loved the whole decor and style of the place. We were delighted to find it was all still as immaculate this time as our original visit. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need with the appliances being of high quality.

The location is ideal; it's very easy to get around and see places but equally you are away from the crowds. We were able to explore a number of walks directly from the cottage with a loop via the ferry to Dittisham, down to Dartmouth and returning back via Kingswear to Glampton being a highlight. There are numerous food options around, but River Shack at Stoke Gabriel is throughly recommended.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

Agatha Cottage is beautifully furnished and comfortable. The location is ideally situated between the 'English Riviera' coast and the River Dart and walking distance to the latter. There are so many things to do in the area but we especially enjoyed the River Dart, its associated towns and the coastline to the west where the beaches are stunning and uncrowded. The only thing we missed a little was an outside space with a view but this did not distract from the overall experience.

The cottage was 1st class, a lot of care and attention to detail went into this cottage.and never wanted for anything. Spotlessly clean and Sam was always on hand for any advice

We had a lovely week, and the cottage was the best part of it. Brilliantly renovated, and tastefully furnished and equipped - a masterclass in quietly efficient elegance. Thanks, Sam, for being a thoughtful and considerate host. This was our first holiday with classic cottages, and you've set the bar high!

A beautifully modernised traditional stone cottage perfectly situated for access to the stunning South Devon coastline. I had a lovely time exploring the many local footpaths as well as visiting the two nearby National Trust properties ( Greenway and Coleton Fishacre ). After long summer days walking and exploring it was a pleasure to return to lovely Agatha Cottage; clean, comfortable, cosy and quiet with tasteful decor, modern appliances and a particularly lovely bathroom. The friendly owner is on hand if you need anything or have any questions. Nothing is too much trouble. I had the best time and hope to return.

If you choose to stay at Agatha Cottage you will not be disappointed, it really is a beautiful cottage, the decor is even better than it looks on the photos! The villiage is really quiet just horses clopping by and the occasional whistle of the steam train. The local pub was great with decent food and a fun quiz night on a Thursday. We walked from the cottage to Greenways twice, once to visit the house and the second time to get the little ferry to Dartmouth. So much to see and do in this lovely area. We went on the Steam train from Paignton to Dartmouth too, visited Coleton Fishacre, Brixham, Totnes and Blackpool Sands ( A beautiful privately owned Beach). A really perfect week with Sam the owner so very helpful too. If I could give this cottage 6 stars i would!

This is the second time we have been to Agatha and will definitely be back soon, Agatha as everything very clean modern decor two Double bedrooms It has everything we needed, also most of the places we wanted to see are local Would highly recommend Agatha. Mr C Kershaw.

Agatha Cottage is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated & furnished with high quality appliances. The luxury bathroom is a big plus as are the outdoor seating areas. Parking is on street & was never a problem & the location is good for both sides of the river. The owner rang before we arrived & was always on call, welcoming & warm but not intrusive.

A beautiful, warm, comfortable very clean home. In a village with a school, pub up the road, shop locally and well stocked. Easy to sit outside and enjoy the sun. In a convenient location to easily visit many interests. One to remember with a smile and a promise to return. Just a note about the pub the meal I would love to repeat is the steak on hot stone, delicious. Keith and Mary from Berkshire. A very satified couple finding such a gem. And the horse who went by each day and managed to see once when drinking our tea out the front and the sound of the steam train whistle in the distance. We will find it easy to recommend.

A beautiful cottage with lots to do in the surrounding area. It was always a pleasure to return to the cottage after a day in Dartmouth, Salcombe, Coleton Fishacre etc. It was our second visit to the cottage and we hope to return again very soon.

Lovely cottage in a good location. Plenty to see and do nearby and when you come home in the evening a very comfortable house.

A very comfortable and well fitted out cottage.

This cottage was simply amazing and surpassed our expectations. The furnishings and decoration was of the highest standard. Everything you could possibly need had been thought of. The cottage was spotlessly clean and immaculate - brilliant in these “COVID” times. The welcome phone call from Sam the day before arrival, along with contact during our stay and a little card on our last day was really kind. Such a lovely lady. And a lovely bottle of bubbly was waiting for us in the fridge! A perfect place to stay. Great location. Easy to get to nearby towns. Great pub and local shops just down the road. I have already started recommending Agatha Cottage as a great place to stay.

Excellent cottage in a great location to access all of South Devon. The owner Sam greeted us on arrival and gave us many recommendations one of which was The Shoals Cafe on the Lido (in Brixham) where we saw the sunset whilst eating dinner on our last night. Nothing was too much trouble for Sam who made us feel very welcome. We visited Brixham, Berry Head point, Paignton, Totnes, Salcombe, Dartmouth and Greenway House which is a 5 minute drive from the cottage. We also stumbled across Hope Cove which was beautiful. There are many beaches too within a short distance from the cottage. Parking outside the cottage wasn't an issue even though there isn't a driveway, there was always a space directly outside to cottage and being in a small hamlet this felt very safe. Overall an excellent cottage with everything you need and is in the perfect location. Thank you Sam for a great stay.

The cottage was quietly located in a small hamlet away from the crowds, yet it only took a few minutes to drive to Brixham. Sam the host, was on hand to help with local recommendations and made us feel very at home during our stay at the lovely Agatha Cottage.

The style, quality and comfort of this cottage is very hard to beat. The location is fantastic too, walking distance to Brixham as well as the river Dart, which is simply beautiful. So many lovely walks, restaurants, and places to visit, without having to go everywhere by car, and the beautiful retreat of Agatha cottage to enjoy on return. We stayed a week and could have done so much more. Something we weren't sure about until we arrived was parking - there is free street parking right outside the cottage and being in a little village it feels very safe - so no worries there. Recommendations: The Anchorstone Cafe at Dittisham - incredible seafood with a view to die for, Torbay Cycle hire (electric bikes too!), Cockington Country Park, Berry Head nature reserve, The shoal Cafe at the Lido (spot Dolphins swimming in the bay!) endless walks, pretty coves and beautiful beaches. Be sure to visit Dartmouth and Kingswear - hire a boat, go kayaking or paddle boarding and, for a treat, eat at the Sea Horse restaurant. Best restaurant experience - Gather in Totnes - sublime. Totnes is also a lovely place to visit and lots of interesting shops and art galleries.

Being newbies to the staycation, self-catering world, and being very house proud with high standards, there were only a few cottages that appealed, Agatha Cottage being one, so we booked. Sam [owner] contacted us a few days prior to arrival. The cottage is located in Galmpton a quaint village, quiet with a pub, but, very close to nearby attractions: 2 miles Agatha Christie's Greenway; 15mins drive Higher Ferry to Dartmouth and beautiful beaches beyond with dreamy villages and well-known towns to visit [Dartmouth, Salcombe, Totnes]. The cottage EXCEEDED our expectations, and on opening the door we knew it was the right choice, the Skandi chic that we love and familiar with at home. The furnishings high spec, i.e. Conran Content, Cox & Cox, Bloomingville, DUSK, Literati & Light, Joseph, Grohe...]. Little extras were supplied and a bottle of Prosseco too! We believe, this cottage [and owner] deserve all guests to be respectful, it's a beautiful home. Sam popped by during our stay, a lovely, bubbly lady... we warmed to her instantly. We will be returning to Agatha Cottage. 5 stars - LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

A beautiful cottage, so welcoming and well equipped. Highly recommend

Excellent cottage, tastefully decorated and fully equipped in an ideal location to explore South Devon.

Our stay at Agatha Cottage was nothing less than perfect. Sam was a wonderful host and really provides a 5* property and experience. The house is beautiful designed and appointed, with everything you need for a week away. The location is beautiful and within a walk or short drive of all that South Devon has to offer!

Agatha Cottage is delightful - from the layout of the cottage to the furnishings - everything was very tastefully presented and was spotlessly clean. There was everything we needed at the cottage and we loved staying there. It was ideally situated with lots of walks and places of interest to visit. We will definitely return!

Agatha Cottage was a very clean and comfortable place to stay in a good location with pub and local shops. We had a very warm welcome from the owner on our arrival.

A superb cottage, stylish but comfortable. Great location in a charming village within easy reach of National Trust properties and the coast, plus lovely walks from your doorstep. Would definitely recommend!

Gorgeous cottage on the edge of a village with lovely countryside and walks.

Super cottage in a perfect location. Would definitely book again

Gorgeous cottage, excellent for holidaying with friends.

Quality accommodation in a peaceful, yet perfect location with easy access to beach, and the sights of Kingswear, Dittisham, Dartmouth & Brixham. Fabulous

Lovely place with all the facilities one might want. One of the best wood stoves we have come across, easy to light and if fed a little at a time a wonderful flame. No problems parking and an easy walk to the local shop and pubs. Lovely walks all round, including to Greenway (NT) from the house.

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. It was so comfortable and stylish. It makes a fantastic base for the South Devon coast. We would love to stay there again.

We have not previously booked a property, in October, at the 'high end' of the rental scale. In the case of Agatha Cottage, worth the difference. The Reception Lounge/Diner and Bathroom deserve special mention.

Very well situated for accessing the surrounding area (NT Properties/ Heritage railway/ Kingswear-Dartmouth/ Broadsands Beach with its excellent Cafeteria/ local walks.

Beautifully furnished and equipped. It is home from home. We enjoyed sitting on the bench in the front garden and watching the world go by.

A cottage, thoughtfully renovated and perfectly modernized to an exceptionally high standard; spacious, comfortable, tastfully decorated living-room and bedrooms; very well equipped modern kitchen and bathroom. A very cosy home, indeed. We had a delightful 3-week-holiday at Agatha's. The village of Galmpton has a local shop for everything, an excellent butcher's, and an inn in walking distance. Galmpton makes a good starting point for walks and car tours around Devon. We have planned to return to Agatha's in 2020.

A beautifully decorated, newly refurbished property in an excellent location for exploring the Torbay and Dart areas. It is equipped to a very high standard, with even an Nespresso machine in the kitchen. The rear patio areas really catch the evening sun and the store is great for storing bikes. Everything about this place is very well done and the owner really goes the extra mile to make sure you feel welcome and get the best out of your stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the excellent Agatha Cottage which is located in a very friendly village with lots of walks you can take from the front door. There is plenty to see in the area and if you do not want to take the car you can use the very good bus service. We visited Brixham a few times using the bus , which even runs through the night ! We particularly enjoyed Greenway House , Totnes and Dartmouth , where you can get a very good Sunday roast in the Yacht Club . If you want to stretch the legs it is possible to walk a small section of the coastal path starting at Brownstone car park and doing a circular walk via Coleton Fishacre, stunning coastal scenery.

The cottage is well fitted out and comfortable and there is a pub within staggering distance ! We would certainly recommend it. .

Arriving from Newquay on a sunny Saturday afternoon we were greeted by the scent of fresh yellow roses in the living room of this wonderful cottage. The interior design and decoration is so thought through that we instantly felt home away from home. Comfy beds, a rain shower in the bathroom, cooking in an excellent equipped kitchen, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Agatha's Cottage is the best place to unwind, enjoy nature, tranquility and luxury. The owners recommendations led us to beautiful places like Greenway, Totnes or Blackpole sands. We will definitively come back. Ruth, Peter and Madeline

The cottage was in a lovely location - walkable distance to Agatha Christie's Greenway- and surrounded by other places of interest. The cottage was fitted out to a high standard and included all we required. Would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Agatha Cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and cosy and decorated to an exceptional standard. The owner, Sam, has thought of everything and the property is a real home from home! It is in a wonderful location and so convenient for many beautiful walks and for visiting places of interest in this lovely part of Devon. We would definitely recommend this holiday cottage without hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay at Agatha Cottage. The cottage was so beautifully and thoughtfully furnished with everything we could have possibly needed. The level of cleanliness was excellent, the beds were comfy and the kitchen perfectly fitted out. We were able to park our car right outside the cottage everyday without a problem. The location of the cottage is also ideal for getting to Brixham, Dittisham, Totnes, Dartmouth and Torquay. We would definitely recommend this cottage.
