Enjoyed a relaxing holiday ,& hope to return soon.

Excellent property, finished to an extremely high standard. The view from the master bedroom is a joy first thing in the morning. Excellent location for good views of stars and ISS. Good spot for visiting the area and some lovely places nearby. Would highly recommend.

Home from home. Cider barn was perfect! Lovely quiet location, well equipped and the perfect host on hand, if needed. King size beds and showers were amazing!

It was just perfect

Beautifully furnished/decorated property in an idyllic location

Perfect property. Very peaceful but convenient to visit other areas.

Owners made us feel very welcome. Well equipped and super comfy beds.

If anything, the Cider Barn exceeded our expectations. Michael couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Beautifully presented modern barn, set in beautiful location. Welcome pack a lovely touch. Marred by the septic tank smell after using showers and other facilities.

Fantastic location, owners and barn

Cider Barn was fully equipped with everything we needed. We liked the larger than average shower cubicle. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with good quality linen. We appreciated the wide opening patio doors onto the decking. The total secure enclosure of the whole outside area meant our dog was free to roam. It was a beautiful and peaceful place .. lovely relaxing views. We enjoyed our week despite the rainy weather, but we were still able to enjoy the views from the comfort of our chairs. A nearby Waitrose was a bonus.

Harpford, where the cottage is situated, is a very small village , yet in a few minutes drive there is a farm shop, garden centre, pub and a major supermarket. Another 10 minute drive and you reach Sidmouth itself, with many independent shops and a lovely coastline.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cider Barn. The Hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming and we would not hesitate to stay there again. We highly recommend The Cider Barn.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cider Barn. It was warm and cosy with stunning views. Mike, the owner, was very welcoming and his wifes shortbread delicious! We would definitely stay there again.

A lovely cottage in a quiet and peaceful location. We only stayed a few days which were affected by Storm Alex so extremely wet and windy. A good base for the area close to The Donkey sanctuary at Sidmouth, Beer and Budleigh Salterton.

A perfect place to stay for a quiet relaxing time.

We can wholeheartedly recommend Cider Barn. The accommodation is really comfortable and of a high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the sunny decked area. Brilliant peaceful location with wonderful views down the valley and great walks from the doorstep. We look forward to returning!

Overall we had a nice stay, the area is very quiet and relaxing but near to the coast and plenty of good walking. A bit more attention to detail would improve the cottage experience.

We had a few minor gripes that would be easy to rectify and would recommend the cottage, BUT only once the smell has gone.

We're so pleased that you generally enjoyed your stay, and that you made the most of the wonderful walking in the area. We were very sorry that you were aware of some occasional odour being blown across from the waste vent pipe outside. It was really unfortunate that this couldn't quickly be addressed, but the owner has now relocated the pipe. We do hope to welcome you back again in the future. Tanya, Customer Support

Superb stay in this first-class property. Excellent friendly hosts and beautiful stay. Versatile accommodation with the en-suite bedrooms and really comfortable living area. The location was beautiful and we had a very warm welcome from our hosts. Excellent location within easy reach of the sea at Sidmouth, Seaton or Buddleigh Salterton, and near nice country walks, especially along the River Otter and the old railway line. A wonderful holiday, and we hope to return.

Warm and welcoming host. Well equipped and tastefully furnished barn conversion. Quiet location but ideally situated to reach all main tourist attractions. Key safe allowed us to come and go as we pleased. Highly recommended!

This property is situated in an exceptionally beautiful location at the end of a quiet lane. It is a recently built and well designed. Certainly the best thing about it is the deck which enjoys warm sunshine and glorious views. It is wonderfully peaceful. It is an easy walk to lovely pubs one of which can be reached by walking along the River Otter and if you're lucky you may glimpse an otter or a kingifisher which for city dwellers like us was an enormous privilege as we managed to spot both (amongst many other glimpses of wildlife we spotted). Cider Barn is an exceptional property.

Excellent 5-night break. Owners were most pleasant and helpful. Unusually well-fenced garden was perfect for one small dog. The property is in a delightful situation and with good, off-road walks leading from it. We know the East Devon area well as our son and family live in Exeter. We were able to meet up with them easily. Good pubs nearby and the Sidmouth Waitrose just along the main road. We hope to return... Thank you!

Cider Barn was by far the most tasteful and well equipped property that we have e ver rented in Devon. The owner was most helpful and there were several welcome touches when we arrived, like cake, milk, juice and fresh flowers in the living room. It exceeded our expectations.

A stunning property in lovely surroundings. Great location to explore East Devon. The owners were lovely, welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

An excellent find. Such a lovely quiet location well placed for excellent walks, good pubs and restaurants, with beaches not far. The Cider Barn is well furnished and a pleasure to stay in.

This is a superbly finished and comfortable cottage with the surrounding fields and property being equally well looked after. We enjoyed a number of chats with the friendly and welcoming hosts. We expect to return some time in the future but we suspect early booking will be needed.

Made very welcome by owners Mike and Shirley. We would certainly stay there again. Great location for exploring the area.

A lovely property located in a beautiful position looking out on to countryside. It was marvelous to arrive at a holiday cottage which lived up to it's description on line. Cider Barn is well presented with good quality fixtures and funishings as well as being in good decorative order and level of cleanliness . It is situated in an ideal location to visit Exeter and all parts of South East Devon or further afield. Shirley and Mike the owners made us very welcome on our arrival. Would not hesitate to recommend Cider Barn to others.

The Cottage and Welcome was lovely but unfortunately short lived .... was cold when we arrived and wasn't able to control the heating/hot water... which makes you feel a nuisance and very annoying to have to call the owners do so when your on holiday (not what I call a relaxing atmosphere)Was told it didn't go up to 24 degrees when I asked for it to be turned up a bit more as my elderly (unwell) mother was cold.? She had to sit under a throw which doesn't bowd well when you've gone away for a relaxing break... Left 2days early and on departure was unable to get in touch with either before leaving or didn't hear back of them all day had to put keys through a window but finally after numerous calls did speak to the owner the next day who's only concern was we weren't to cold on our stay ... Well that says it all.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, and we hope that your mum is feeling much better. We're really sorry that you felt a little cold on arrival - the owners were very happy to adjust the temperature and manually boost the hot water, and will always do this if required as we know different guests have different preferences; they also have a portable heater available for more instant warmth. We're so sorry that you had to leave early for an emergency at home but hope you'd come back again in the future. Kari, Customer Support

A comfortable new barn ,bijou with lovely views of the valley. Easy walking distance to some good pubs.

The Cider Barn was a great find. We really enjoyed our stay. It is in a great location, easy to find and good for seeing other attractions in Devon.
