The little church at Church Cove, made famous by the BBC series Poldark, is a few minutes down the road, with National Trust parking nearby.
Sandy at low tide and lifeguarded in high season plus toilets and a little hut serviing snacks and drinks.
Spend time building sandcastles or pebble towers, dip your toes in the water or surf the waves, the choice is yours.
Pretty Porthleven harbour is only five miles away. This 'foodie destination' has lots of cafes, restaurants and quaint shops.
The Helford River has much to offer the visitor whether you like to explore by foot or on the water.
Kynance Cove is a highlight of the Lizard peninsula.

Coverack Bay has a lovely sandy beach at high tide and a windsurfing school.

Wonderful spacious barn conversion set in the countryside with modern decor and appliances. The beds are really comfortable and an onsuite in each bedroom is great. The upsidedown layout works really well and with a wonderful picture window looking out towards Goon-hilly Downs. It is also well situated for travelling around west Cornwall as it is only about a mile from main roads. Highly recommended....

This is a delightful barn and has everything you could possibly want and need from a holiday home. Definitely the best we have stayed in. So much space and light and all the furnishings are of a very high standard. The decor is lovely. Not far from Helston and with easy access to the Lizard and Church Cove. Equally not far from the main road and so you’re able to get further afield without it taking too much travelling time. Just ideal all round. ...

This was my second time staying at the Cow Shed but my Daughter’s and 5 year old Grandson’s first time and they adored it. My Grandson loved the area and everywhere we took him he was so excited. Which was great as his ancestors are Cornish. He was over the moon when the Farmer showed him around the farm to meet the cows and to be shown how they were milked. He missed it so much he cried when he arrived home and said he misses the Cow Shed. A great holiday all around...
