Beautiful, peaceful location, cottage has so much charecter. Close to beautiful beaches, especially Daymer Bay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage, it has all modern comforts required and is in a great location. The stairs would be an issue for anyone with limited mobility but this is made clear in prebooking details.

Sweet little garden to sit in. Very close to a pub Within walking distance to Rock (3 miles to the beach) or easy driving distance.

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. Great base for some walks to the coast of Cornwall. The bus service is well worth exploring. It's cheap regular and is a green way of travelling. The local pub, Fourways is a world removed from the gastronomic scene of Rock and Padstow. They serve great beer and standard pub grub. All done with in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The Cottage itself has been restored to reflect the age of the property ie. not everything is level or straight making it quirky yet with all the modern conviences you could wish for.
Not suitable for young children or people with mobility issues. There are quite a few steep steps inside and out. I have a mobility problem I used the internal stairs on all fours and used the very sturdy and well positioned handrails. I couldn't use the lower part of the external area but this in no way distracted from my enjoyment of the cottage.

Beautiful cottage with a lovely secluded garden. There is a village pub just down the lane. It’s in an ideal location for Rock, Padstow and Port Isaac.
Mrs Grantley May 2021
This 16th Century Cottage is full of character. It’s quirky stair case and sloping floors adds to its charm. It’s backs onto a cemetery and church which may not be for everyone. We didn’t have any ghostly visitors! There are no wardrobes or heated towel rails. There is also no tumble dryer so I imagine in the winter months this may be an issue drying clothes. The log burner is huge and quite magnificent. I would definitely stay again.

Great location , local pub absolutely fantastic especially at the moment with restrictions etc . Cottage very well stocked with absolutely everything you could need, clear instructions on where to find things and how to use all the equipment, very nicely furnished and we’ll definitely return.
Mr Raikes September 2020
Lovely cottage in a great location, and just 50 metres from a very friendly pub!

Great location
Miss Sterry August 2019
Sympathetic renovation of a lovely cottage in a central location for Rock, Polzeath,Padstow and Port Issac.
Really enjoyed our week's stay in the cottage.
Mr Turner May 2019
Cottage has uneven tight stairs and many steps in garden. Children and elderly should be careful. The log burner is brilliant but there is no guard to keep young fingers off the hot glass front. Small dogs could escape enclosed garden, there is a gap to the between cottage and garage.

Thanks for taking the time to review Church Lane Cottage. The cottage is a Grade II Listed 16th Century property which boasts many of its original features such as steep twisting stairs and beautiful flagstone floors as mentioned in the description. There are steps outside to a lovely little garden and further steps that lead down to a sunken terrace (photos on website) which we would advise to take care with children. We've also noted your comments regarding the fire guard and gap in the garden and will certainly pass this to the owner for their attention - thank you. Bryony, Customer Support
