Beautiful large house on cliff top above Ventnor, with fantastic views over Ventnor Bay. Very comfortable, well equipped for 6-8 people. Large Terrace, balcony on first floor and large garden in 3 tiers. Plenty of garden furniture. The Nr. 3 Bus stop, Ryde-Newport-Ryde is directly at the door. About a mile to the town and shops, including around 150 steps! That's the price for the view. Good fish and chips shop opposite, daily 5-7pm, except Sundays. Being on the fringe of Ventnor it is quiet in the evenings. Wonderful mild climate, plenty of sunshine, occasionally sea mist. Beautiful gardens/parks nearby, also botanical garden. Palm trees very common everywhere - Gulfstream! Good pubs, restaurants in town and plenty of events to choose from. Churches of most Christian denominations. The small Catholic church has beautiful modern stained glass windows. Seaside has long esplanade with a good pub, ice cream Cafe, souvenir shops. Sandy Beach with some stony areas, good swimming, also for small children. Also next door, along the cliff path, a small bay with very picturesque cottages, places to eat - Beach hut, very reasonable prices and cream teas! Crab and lobster in another small restaurant. Fitness area, open air at cliff top for children and adults! North of Ventnor is Shanklin, another very attractive town on the bus route from Ryde - has its own rail station. I can thoroughly recommend this house in Ventnor for a holidays. We were here with 7 of the family and had a wonderful time. The owner, who doesn't live here, was very friendly and helpful on the telephone, checking things over before we arrived....

Lovely views. Lots of steps but to be expected being so high up to get the lovely views. House was fully equiped with every thing we needed. Recommend to anyone who likes to walk and take in the delights of Ventnor.

Lovely property. Fab location. Wouldn’t recommend for people with mobility issues or very young children due to steps and garden.
