Shore House

We had a wonderful holiday at Shore House! The house was very well equipped and spacious with plenty of areas to relax and lounge in. The pool and top floor room were added bonuses which made our stay extra special. The location in Seaview is perfectly situated between the sea and a nature reserve which we could enjoy by sitting on the balcony, swimming in the sea at high tide and beach combing at low tide right on our doorstep. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular too. Lots of scenic walks along the coastal path and tasty meals at The Boathouse restaurant and Old Fort pub. Seaview also has a charming high street and a well stocked community store. Everything we wanted for a week away for some peace and quiet. ...

We had been looking forward to our stay at Shore House very much especially having our own private pool to luxuriate in after exploring the Island. Good: The location and views are fabulous Great to have two parking spaces for multiple family stays Plentiful quality crockery, cutlery, utensils, cookware Great beds, soft furnishings and towels Bad The downstairs shower room requires some upgrading, the shower tray was soft and sqidgy underfoot and makes an odd noise when your stand in it initially. It feels as though the under tray supports have water ingress and hence not solid underfoot The shower cubicle mechanism and lower glass were dirty with mould and limescale and clearly had not been cleaned thoroughly before our arrival The downstairs toilet seat was heavily stained on both sides and looks very unhygenic There are many loose paving slabs surrounding the pool (some completely unsecure) The concrete rendering around the pool is flaking and there are large cracks between the concrete and the paving slabs which are unsightly and by the end of our stay mosaic pool tiles under the water line on the seating area and wall had fallen off. Along with the amazing views the swimming pool is the main draw for this lovely holiday home and as such feel that the lack of ongoing maintenance of the outdoor area is very disappointing and not safe for families with children. Shore House is an amazing holiday home. As a child I was lucky enough to have a family member that owned a property in Seagrove bay and from 5 years old would frequently holiday there. sadly it was sold in later years and I never thought i would be lucky enough to experience such magical holidays again but finding Shore House proved me wrong. It is a beautiful holiday home the sunrises from the balcony we’re stunning the house is well kept and has a cosy feeling but modern at the same time. The pool in the garden makes you feel so special and the village a 5 minute walk provides the old fort and Seaview hotel both offering very good food. We we’re lucky enough to stay an extra night and would like to thank the owner the cleaner and the lovely team in the classic cottage’s office in the village for making it possible.we will definitely be booking again....

Really good property and location, we loved it

Shore House is in an excellent location near to several beaches. the double bedroom has a lovely view of the sea. The kitchen is well stocked and the lounge seated all 6 of us comfortably. Seaview is a peaceful place and you can hear the sea with the windows open which was lovely. The loft is great as an additional lounge with a comfy sofa and amazing views, it is bathed in bright sunlight for most of the day and night. Blinds or curtains would make sleeping much less of a challenge....
