We were very comfortable in Alicia's Barn which was decorated with a fresh seaside theme. The road could be a little busy at times but it did not stop our enjoyment of of the lovely accommodation. It was well located for all the Roseland area.
Mr Holman March 2022
We had a wonderful stay at Alica's Barn. It was very comfortable and well equipped, a real pleasure to stay there for four nights. It is very tastefully decorated and it felt a luxurious place to stay. We were lucky enough to have good weather. This was our first stay on the Roseland Peninsula and we would highly recommend it for the walking in the area and the beaches. There are some great places to eat out in the local area too. We really hope to stay at Alicia's Barn again in the future.
Mrs Spink November 2021
Lovely position. Beautifully decorated and furnished to higher standard. Very clean. Would highly recommend.
Mr Brabner September 2021
A very nice property in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Mrs Ramsey August 2021
Great location - 15 minutes walk (with all our beach equipment) to Porthbean beach. Very short drive to Pendower and Portscatho beaches. Even during the school summer holidays there were plenty of spaces in the carparks until 11.30am. Sea view from the garden - just! The house would be a little cramped for 6 adults but plenty of room for a family with children.
Mr Stinchcombe May 2021
Lovely clean, comfortable, peaceful holiday home, good value. Easy booking
Mrs Humphries October 2019
Problem with dead not cleaned up cluster flys. Duvets in spare rooms very thin for Autumn use. Barn very well stocked for children’s entertainment and the kitchen once again very well equipped. Comfortable warm and a very pleasant stay would defiantly stay again. As long as the cluster flys were cleaned up.??

Thanks for your review of Alicia's Barn - we're pleased that you found it to be comfortable and well equipped and that you'd like to return. We were sorry to read your comment about flies and have followed this up with the housekeeping team. There are some throws available for colder months but we have also suggested that thicker duvets are provided. Alison, Customer Support
Mrs Bowler September 2019

Would like your comments on the 2 properties that smelt damp
Reply from Classic Cottages
Thank you for your comments. We have been in touch directly in response to your feedback. Alicia's Barn is a traditional barn conversion which is unlikely to have a modern damp proof course. With the hot, humid weather conditions we've had this summer and the sudden downturn into colder weather in the last few weeks, this could be the type of property more likely to experience some condensation and perhaps a damp feeling to the air on occasion. We do recommend that properties similar to this are well ventilated and in some cases a dehumidifier installed to help with air circulation. Bryony, Customer Support
Mrs Davies August 2018
Super holiday accommodation. Cosy, clean and well equipped. Beautifully furnished. Location is perfect for exploring the Roseland Peninsula, and so many beaches close by.
Mr Brabner June 2018
This is an attractive property, but smells quite badly of damp.

Mrs Dowley September 2017
We had a super week as such a fantastic area for day trips and local walks. Hidden hut was great find as food wonderful. Cottage was well equipped and welcoming and provided great base for exploring Roseland. Definitely thinking of returning as most relaxing holiday had for a long time. Also felt classic cottages were exceptionally efficient and will use again. Thanks for a lovely holiday, helped by the unusually good weather.
Mr Hough September 2017
We were very happy with our stay. we would stay again, and would recommend Alicia's Barn.
Mrs Petherick July 2017
Very comfortable barn with added extras for the children to play with (box of toys, DVDs and videos). Clean and tidy with nice John Lewis towels!!! Not a great location for take aways but we should've researched it better. Plus not many beaches close by where dogs aren't allowed. But cottage was great!

Thanks for taking the time to review Alicia's Barn - we're pleased that you enjoyed your time at the barn, and that the children were kept well entertained! Beaches at Portscatho and St Mawes have dog restrictions in high season, and huge Carne Beach has a byelaw requiring dogs to be kept on leads during this time too. www.cornwallbeaches.org.uk is a useful site for finding out details of all local beaches. we rebooked before we left
Mrs Sargent December 2016
Lovely location, just a short walk to my favourite beach and just a little further to a great lunch at the hut
Mr Nethercote August 2016
Great location.
Mrs Taylor May 2016
This converted barn is in a great location on the Roseland Peninsula where you will find fantastic walks and great beaches. Its really welcoming and cosy and has the bonus of no worries about car parking. Its only a few minutes walk from the famous 'hidden hut' where you can get excellent coffee and food, you must try the lunch on offer every day. If you need to unwind and relax this is the place.
Mr Ashton April 2016
Excellent accommodation, well equipped with a sea view (yes there actually is if you stand in a certain place!). Lovely sitting on the decking with a glass of your favourite tipple Far enough away from the busier locations but a fairly easy walk along coastal path to Portscatho
Mr Martin March 2016
Excellent cottage, close to a lovely beach and the SW Coast path.
Ms Richards February 2016
We loved staying here and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing trip to the south coast of Cornwall.
