The Summer House is a beautiful property in a perfect location. The light-filled airy living area looks out onto a pretty enclosed garden and the sea in the near distance. We enjoyed sitting in the living room looking towards the sea and watching the ever changing Cornish weather. The house is so comfortable and tastefully decorated with local artwork on the walls throughout. Being able to walk to the beach and coastal path within a couple of minutes, whatever the weather, was wonderfully freeing. We loved everything about our stay....

We spent a week at The Summer House and were blessed with gorgeous weather. We usually stay in Marazion when we come down to see our family but know Perranuthnoe well so we’re excited to stay there. The house is lovely. Really light and welcoming. Very clean. Plenty of bathrooms for everyone and a powerful shower in the wet room. The master bedroom is lovely, with doors onto the patio. Shame there’s not a proper shower over the bath as we all had to use the wet room for a shower. Also a shame there’s not an inviting space outside the patio doors to sit with a coffee in the morning. We ended up sitting on the step. The kids both fought over the blue twin room as this one is much nicer than the pink one. The beds were new and the whole room looked and smelled fresh and inviting. The pink room reminded them of granny’s and the beds were old and soft, and not the nicest to sleep on. The kitchen is well equipped, we didn’t cook as I needed a break too, but there was lots of room to make snacks. There was some old food left in a cupboard which was a bit off putting. I assume it was left by the last people. The living room was the best room. Light and airy. We spent most of our time here relaxing. Very comfortable and clean. Nice big dining table. The garden is nice, a good size, but there is nowhere comfortable to sit. An old pub type bench which was not great to sit at. And nowhere else for us all to sit together and enjoy the weather. A proper table and chairs, some outdoor sofas and a table, these things would have made the great outdoor space much better. Perranuthnoe itself is a great place to stay. There’s a cafe over the road and we had breakfasts there more than once! Not open every day, but times are on their website.) The people here were really inviting and lovely. We also had dinners at The Cabin by the beach. Booked a table every night and the food was great. We are vegetarian and coeliac and easily found lots of choice. And then there’s the beach. The highlight. 2 minutes walk from the house. We spent every day here in the early mornings and evenings and had the place to ourselves most of the time. We visited the seal sanctuary and adopted a seal! Treban gardens, the sculpture park, St Michael’s Mount. We had a great time and I’ve already booked to come back to the area next year. ...

Smart, stylish, roomy bungalow in a pretty coastal village with traditional good food pub on the doorstep, two further recommended eateries and a number of art galleries. Bungalow comfortably well equipped. Close to the sea. Off road parking at the property a bugbear for anything larger than a small car. ...

Thank you for your review of The Summer House. It sounds like you had a wonderful time here, enjoying the facilities and the surrounding area. I am sorry that you found the parking space to be a bugbear. Reversing into the space can be tight, especially with larger SUV type cars, but not impossible. We don't think this should be an issue for most average-sized cars. There is also free parking on the lane outside of the property. We hope to see you again soon! Chloe, Customer Support. ...
