Sea Cottage is in a unique position with direct access to the beach and the Tarka Cycle Trail, with the local cricket club and access track to the cottage on the other side of the Cottage.
Walk down into the town and catch the ferry over to Appledore.
Instow's sandy beach is wonderful at low and high tide.
Sea Cottage is tucked away in the sand dunes to the left of this photograph of Instow.
The passenger ferry will take you from Appledore to Instow during the summer months.
The Instow Cricket Club is a stone's throw from the cottage. This must be the best location to watch a summer match!
Woolacombe is one of many stunning north coast beaches.
This is the seemingly endless beach at nearby Saunton Sands.
Charming Clovelly is a short car journey away.
Sit by the harbour at Clovelly and take in the lovely view of the village.
Take the passenger ferry to Lundy Island from Bideford for a day of bird watching.
Have a day of adventure at North Devon Wake Park where you can wakeboard, paddle board or enjoy the giant aquapark!

Lovely cottage. Very close to the beach which is dog friendly Good places to eat in Instow Tarka trail is literally on the doorstep which is perfect for walking and exploring the area. Will definitely be returning next year.

Lovely well decorated cottage in a secluded spot with everything you could need for a holiday. It as a nice private garden to relax in during the day or have your meal and drinks in the evening. We walked into Instow every morning along the beach chatting to the locals who are all very friendly. The pubs and cafes in the area are all dog friendly and all very good, our favourite pub was the Quay Inn which the locals seem to use, try the Stans cider with a slice of orange! It’s a local thing. You can also walk or cycle along the Tarka trail straight from the cottage which goes for miles in each direction. If the weather’s not to good the cottage as a TV and good Wi-Fi reception. The cottage is also right next to Instow cricket pitch so if that’s your thing you could sit and watch a match. We had a very relaxing week at Sea Cottage and would love to return.
