Sea Cottage is in a unique position with direct access to the beach and the Tarka Cycle Trail, with the local cricket club and access track to the cottage on the other side of the Cottage.
Walk down into the town and catch the ferry over to Appledore.
Instow's sandy beach is wonderful at low and high tide.
Sea Cottage is tucked away in the sand dunes to the left of this photograph of Instow.
The passenger ferry will take you from Appledore to Instow during the summer months.
The Instow Cricket Club is a stone's throw from the cottage. This must be the best location to watch a summer match!
Woolacombe is one of many stunning north coast beaches.
This is the seemingly endless beach at nearby Saunton Sands.
Charming Clovelly is a short car journey away.
Sit by the harbour at Clovelly and take in the lovely view of the village.
Take the passenger ferry to Lundy Island from Bideford for a day of bird watching.
Have a day of adventure at North Devon Wake Park where you can wakeboard, paddle board or enjoy the giant aquapark!

Our third stay at Sea Cottage, we love the easy access to the Tarka Trail and the beach, short walk will take you to Instow. Communication with the owners was excellent, and the cottage is very welcoming with flowers and goodies on arrival. The cottage has everything we need to enjoy our holiday. We have already booked for next year...

Fabulous comfortable little cosy cottage directly on Tarka Trail and beach is right there, delightful walk into Instow too along either beach or Tarka Trail from the garden. Cottage very warm, has all you could want, perfect.

Lovely little cottage with everything we needed for a relaxing week in North Devon. Beds are very comfy and it was ideally located for a stroll along the Tarka Trail. Although there is no direct access from the cottage onto the wide sandy beach, it’s only a couple of minutes’ walk away. Instow itself is pretty, with four pubs, a good quality deli/cafe (the cream tea and raspberry cheesecake chocolate brownie were both delicious) and a couple of vans for local ice cream. There’s also a small cafe selling seafood and possibly a post office at the other end of the village. Not much else other than the yacht club and cricket club (which saw activity every day we were there). There is a lot to do in the area and many lovely places to visit, so we drove around quite a lot. Big Sheep was great for kids. We hope to return!...

Lovely cottage. Very close to the beach which is dog friendly Good places to eat in Instow Tarka trail is literally on the doorstep which is perfect for walking and exploring the area. Will definitely be returning next year.
