The views from the property were excellent and the property was very well equipped and easily accommodated the 6 adults and 3 children. The bathroom facilities were perfect to cater for a large group. Parking was not a problem and we spent a thoroughly enjoyable week. ...

This was a great house for our multi generational family group to celebrate an 80th birthday, with bathrooms for everyone and lots of downstairs space. It is very well equipped with a huge amount of crockery and cooking equipment so very easy with a large group. As described, the 6th bedroom is hidden away and quirky, our 13 year old in the group loved it!! The views are stunning and we often sat out the front to take advantage of the sea views. The location is fantastic being an easy walk downhill to Port Isaac harbour or Port Gaverne , even with kayaks and paddle boards. We went in May half term and parked 2 cars at the rear of the property and one car along the very quiet lane in front of the house with no problem. We would recommend The Mote in Port Isaac and the pub in Port Gaverne, both had good food. Polzeath was a short drive away for body boarding or surfing. Getting the ferry from Rock to Padstow was another great trip and very easy. We all loved our stay here and genuinely didn’t want to go home! We would definitely book this again for any big family holidays. ...

This old house is a beautiful home with excellent views, location and added parking which is a bonus. There is plenty of room for large gatherings, bedrooms all with en suite facilities also a bonus. Unfortunately for us there were quite a few problems regarding cleaning and maintenance. We would love to return if these problems are resolved. Recommend Port Gaverne pub, excellent food and service. We are comparing this house to many others we’ve stayed in through Devon and Cornwall in the same price range....

The Anchorage is a really perfect choice for a large family group. The bedrooms, all with en suite, allows everyone in the group to have private space, while the communal areas downstairs are large and comfortable for everyone to enjoy sitting/eating together. The outside views at the front are stunning and the location is excellent for local walks. The live music at the Golden Lion is worth checking out!...
