Gorran is a place to experience the real Cornwall and get away from the crowds. Yet it is also ideally placed to explore the coast and hotspots like Mevagissey and Heligan before heading back to the tranquillity of the cottage. The cottage itself is traditional and romantic in its style and there is fine dining available in the local pub. Its a bit of a gem....

Mrs Western October 2021
Spacious quaint cottage in very quiet location. Great for getting to various beaches and the coastal path on foot (if you like walking). Close to Gorran Churchtown with a convenient little village stores. Lovely welcome cake and bottle of wine on arrival. Sue, the owner, lives next door and was very friendly and welcoming. Well-equipped kitchen and the 'dairy' was a great area for storing stuff. Good value for money as long as you are prepared to manage with one (downstairs) bathroom and no dishwasher (which might be slightly more difficult with 6 people in the cottage). ...

Super cottage in an excellent location and the owner was very welcoming but not intrusive. It was a great base for our family holiday.
Mrs Harris September 2019
A spacious and very comfortable cottage which is suitable for anyone that wants to get away from the crowds after their day out. A warm welcome was given by Sue who lives next door and we were given a lovely home made cake on arrival. The cottage is very well equiped, every thing we needed was there. I can highly recommend this cottage and it was very interesting speaking to Sue about the renovation of the cottage....

There is a big garden area at the back of the cottage may be the owner could consider letting the clients use it. As it currently of bounds to clients. ...

Thanks for sharing your review of this lovely property. The traditional cottage garden does have lots of established bushes and trees, very much in keeping with the property's style, but we're sorry that you felt it looked a little overgrown. The space to the rear of the cottage is retained by the owner but guests have private use of the garden, barbecue and seating area to the front - the sun does move around the garden for most of the day and you'll usually find a patch to enjoy somewhere.
