Appledore sits opposite Instow and a passenger ferry runs between the two during summer months.
North Devon is renowned for its incredible coastline, miles and miles for all the family to enjoy. Great for surfing, kite surfing and walking. This is the beach at Instow.
Catch the passenger ferry from Bideford Quay for a day of birdwatching on Lundy Island.
Charming Clovelly is a short car journey away.
Sit and admire the view from the harbour at Clovelly.
Have a day of adventure at North Devon Wake Park where you can wakeboard, paddle board or enjoy the giant aquapark!
Bideford is a pretty market town.

Absolutely loved this cottage in such a beautiful peaceful setting. Would not hesitate to recommend. We loved our visits to RHS Rosemoor and Tapeley Hall, which was fantastic value for money, with beautiful gardens and interesting history.

We had a very warm welcome by Ken, the owner, who was happy to help in any way needed. The cottage was excellent and very well equipped. We have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anyone who wants to be deep in the Devon countryside and very quiet, other than birdsong and the occasional pheasant! Clear nights meant star gazing was a delight too....
