We had a wonderful week at Popplestone. The welcome of scones was a lovely start. There were many extras and nice touches we weren't expecting. The views were superb. The enclosed garden meant our dog could come and go safely via the kitchen door. The birds at the feeders and in the garden were entertaining. Mr and Mrs Simmonds were very welcoming and helpful. We plan to visit again....

The extra effort by the owners to make people welcome was appreciated. As well as the usual cream tea it was nice to have bread; milk; butter and eggs left for us and, unusually, liquid soap and shower gel in the bathrooms.

Beautifully presented and felt really welcome with the extra touches, for example, bread, milk, butter etc and a beautiful cream tea on arrival. Even bones and towels for the dogs.
