This lovely property is not only perfect in the summer for a 'bucket and spade' holiday, it's also a rather special destination in the cooler months for families and couples alike. Ideal for those who enjoy a refreshing walk along the stunning coastal path, an exhilarating stroll along the beach or a trip to one of the many fine pubs and restaurants in the area.

Island Cottage is a fantastic year-round retreat. Whatever you seek from your holiday, a truly wonderful holiday destination and a warm welcome awaits.

There really is endless fun to be had in this very sought-after location. If a stroll along this beautiful coastline is on your 'to do' list - great choice! As you meander along these stunning coastal routes, please ensure the camera is close to hand as the views will be worth a snap or two! Or maybe someone in the group has a burning desire to learn to surf. If so, help is at hand, only a short distance away is a very friendly and professional surf school equipped to teach all levels.

Bigbury-on-Sea and Burgh Island are two of the 'must-sees' on the beautiful south Devon coastline. The wonderful beaches, the natural beauty of the island and the unique sea tractor which connects the two when the tide comes in are truly iconic and will form lasting memories for those lucky enough to visit.

There is so much to do for the adventure monkeys of the group; surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking are all very popular on Bigbury beach. With the facilities and equipment located on the beach and readily available for hire - what are you waiting for? Or maybe 18 holes of golf at Bigbury Golf Club is your ideal way to spend the day. All this and more can be found on your doorstep.

Bigbury is also home to the well-known Burgh Island. A trip over to this captivating island via sea tractor is a real must - a rare and unique treat which the younger members of your group will talk about for years to come.

Whilst on the island why not pay a visit to the Pilchard Inn, quenching thirsts for over 700 years. Local fishermen to smugglers and wreckers have enjoyed the delights within. Or perhaps the Art Deco hotel is on your 'to do' list, which has welcomed guests such as Agatha Christie, The Beatles and Noel Coward in years gone by. The beaches, coastal walks and surrounding areas in this stunning location offer you adventure, unspoilt beauty and endless entertainment in every direction.

The towns of Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth, Totnes and Brixham are also within striking distance via car. These exceptionally popular towns all hold so much individual charm and character, making them a great day out for all the family.
