At the heart of the property is a stunning fully equipped kitchen and dining area with double doors leading onto the suntrap terrace, perfect for leisurely breakfasts and memorable suppers. The cosy sitting-room has a tempting wood-burner creating a warm and inviting space to unwind after a day exploring west Cornwall. A downstairs cloakroom adds extra practicality. Head upstairs to find two sweet bedrooms, one king-size and one double, both with their own beautifully appointed shower-rooms. The location of this home, away from the hustle and bustle, allows for a restful night’s sleep, peaceful mornings and spectacular stargazing under Cornwall’s dark skies.
Step outside to enjoy a huge garden perfect for your four-legged friends to enjoy. Outdoor seating and a barbecue make this a wonderful spot for al fresco dining on warm Cornish evenings.
Just 200 yards walk from the cottage lies one of the areas hidden gems, the clear waters of Woonsmith lake. With exclusive use for the cottage this is an excellent spot for a wild swim or to use the provided paddle boards (feel free to bring your own and please supervise children at all times), the lake also offers fishing for keen anglers, with well stocked waters waiting for you to cast a line. Why not pack a picnic, sit back and enjoy this peaceful location, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

The countryside is rich in wildlife and history. Once part of a working farm the land is now a haven for nature with cattle and horses often grazing in neighbouring fields adding to this idyllic rural setting. Nearby conservation land cared for by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust makes this a destination for walkers, birdwatchers and anyone seeking a slower pace of life. Rumour has it that the clay was dug from this area for historic Leach Pottery offering a fascinating glimpse into Cornwall's artistic heritage.
If you can tear yourself away from Woonsmith, you are so very close to the crystal-clear sea waters in St Ives, where you can visit the numerous galleries showcasing local art. Nearby Marazion is a must with its tidal causeway to the castle. The promenade on Penzance is perfect for a seaside stroll, stopping at one of the various food trucks for a light lunch. Newlyn harbour just along the coast offers the catch of the day from the knowledgeable fishmongers, pick your favourite and head back to Woonsmith and cook up a feast!
