Welcome to 9 West View, a delightful traditional fisherman's cottage nestled perfectly on the Jurassic Coast. This charming, characterful, terraced cottage offers a great base for friends or family who wish to enjoy all the delights of the seaside. A quick downhill walk will find you in the heart of the vibrant village of Beer with all its hidden gems including independent shops, a wine bar and plenty of eateries, beach cafes and pubs, not forgetting the long shingle Beer beach and access to The South West Coast Path in both directions. With all of this within easy reach you can enjoy relaxed days on the beach and evenings out without the need for travelling by car.

9 West View is a welcoming all-year-round retreat. The moment you step into the cosy and welcoming sitting/dining-area, with restored parquet flooring and original features, you will feel instantly at home. The sumptuous sofas offer the perfect place to sit back and relax in and for those chillier evenings, the glowing wood-burner will definitely be a hit. When it comes to dining, you have the option to enjoy a feast at the large dining-table inside or, to really enjoy the magic of Beer and your elevated location, why not step outside and enjoy your evening meal, or any meal for that matter, dining al fresco on your enclosed patio, which is a real sun-trap. Why not finish off the day with a glass of something tasty whilst watching the glorious sunsets over Beer.

Retiring for the evening, you are greeted by three light and bright bedrooms, take your pick from a king bedroom offering views out over Beer, a charming double room and a cosy single bedroom. The third bedroom can also be configured as a twin on request, with an extra single bed supplied.

For extra ease and holiday enjoyment, this property also supplies a parking permit which can be used in the central car park (a downhill walk), along with all other approved council car parks in and around East Devon. Naturally, the permit operates within the standard parking terms and spaces are first come, first served. However, I'm sure you will find this extra provision super helpful, especially when out and about enjoying the surrounding areas.

There are so many attractions and features to enjoy within and around the village of Beer. For the younger members of the group there are two playgrounds and a small discovery centre. Pack those fishing nets and head to the beach for a spot of rock pooling. A pleasant downhill walk will take you to many of the amenities on offer before taking the uphill walk back to your cottage and those picturesque views. Keeping fit is part of the attraction in this beautiful spot.

If you can tear yourself away from your immediate surroundings, the nearby villages and towns of Seaton and Branscombe are only minutes by car, both offering stunning beaches, beautiful eateries and something rather special and unique. A day exploring and enjoying this magical coastline will not be enough.

Right on your doorstep you have attractions such as the 2000 year-old Beer Quarry Caves, along with the bomb shelter and a short, yet exhilarating, hike will take you up to the Whiteclifff observation deck - another fabulous way of truly enjoying your beautiful location. Don't forget to sample the local fresh fish which can be purchased from Beer's wet fish shop - definitely a must! Or why not take a seasonal boat trip with the local fishermen to explore the surrounding coastline. Finishing off with a 'beer in Beer' before heading back to relax at your holiday abode.

Venturing slightly further around the coast will land you in the town of Seaton. Only 1.5 miles away you can enjoy Seaton's tramway and glorious beach, or for those who have brought their clubs, Seaton is home to a welcoming golf club.

In the opposite direction you have the beautiful village of Branscombe and only slightly further afield is Sidmouth - a real hotspot for young and old. With oodles of entertainment at your disposal, a glorious sandy beach and even a donkey sanctuary nearby, a day spent in and around Sidmouth will not be one to forget.

9 West View and its outstanding location really does unlock everything this renowned stretch of coastline has to offer. Whether you are looking for a relaxing break away or action and adventure, 9 West View and its perfectly positioned location, overlooking the hustle and bustle of Beer, offers it all.
