Make your way to an idyllic working farm nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in east Devon, where you will find The Barn. If you're looking for a rural escape tucked away somewhere rather special, this is certainly the spot.

Drive through the beautiful countryside lanes and arrive to a countryside oasis leading to The Barn. Say hello to your friendly neighbourhood cows - the cattle shed is located in close proximity to your getaway and so you will get plenty of opportunities to see them, as they will be there to greet you every day! For those who wish to experience working farm life, this is perhaps the perfect setting.

Step inside to discover the oh so lovely interiors - the open plan living space is a wonderful spot for sociable evenings gathered in the kitchen, enjoying holiday meals around the dining-table and relaxing on the sofas with a glass of your favourite tipple next to the wood-burner. On the ground floor you'll also find the first of three bedrooms, a very pretty double room with a fabulous en suite shower-room.

Head upstairs to discover two more bedrooms. Bedroom two is a cheerful and light double room, and the third bedroom is a spacious room with a 'zip and link' bed - which can be configured as a king-size double or as twin beds, you choose! On this floor, you'll also find a cosy seating area with a squishy sofa for relaxing with a good book. There's also a stylish family bathroom on this floor, with a lovely bath for soaking in at the end of the day. What a treat!

If you're wishing to relax outside, the seating area for The Barn is situated next to the games-room and a wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine. In addition to the shared games-room you'll also find a fishing lake, so there's plenty to keep you entertained on your holiday. There are three properties at Logshayne Farm and guests staying here have sole use of the farm's coarse fishing lake (which is just outside of the farm grounds), which is stocked with roach, carp and perch.

Should you wish to bring along extended family or friends, there is another fabulous cottage available on-site, Stable Tallet (1719) offering a superior standard of accommodation and fabulous surroundings - the perfect formula for that very special occasion.

There's lots of adventures to be had from your doorstep. The east Devon and Dorset coastline are both within easy reach. The east Devon coastline is dotted with pretty fishing villages, including Beer and Branscombe and traditional seaside towns such as Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton, so don't forget to pack your beach bag!

Crossing the border into Dorset, just a few miles away, is Lyme Regis with the famous Cobb Harbour and a lovely sandy beach. Beyond that is Charmouth which is ever popular with families for fossil hunting. And if you're looking to get on the water, you can take a boat trip out into Lyme Bay for a spot of mackerel fishing or just to admire the pretty coastline from the sea. The inland countryside here is simply beautiful, with unspoilt villages and charming market towns such as Axminster and Bridport.
