DoubleAptly named and perfectly positioned on the banks of pretty Wootton Creek on the north coast of the Isle of Wight, Creekside is a gorgeous waterfront holiday home with delightful views and stylish interiors. Located just a stroll away from the local village shops, this charming detached home is ideal for a family holiday or getaway with friends throughout the year, and your four-legged friend is welcome to join you too!
From the moment you arrive at Creekside you will be enchanted. The spacious sitting/dining-room on the ground floor is beautifully furnished and decorated in pastel shades with a wood-burner to keep you cosy in cooler months. The dining-table has space for all, ideal for sociable holiday mealtimes. The kitchen has all the equipment you will need to create a culinary masterpiece including a gas-fired range cooker and all-important dishwasher because who wants to do the washing up when there's exploring to be done! The separate family-room has cosy sofas, a warming wood-burner, and the benefit of a TV giving guests the option of watching programmes in either room. There is also a handy cloakroom on the ground floor.
Climb the stairs to the first floor where four welcoming bedrooms await. Bedroom one has an impressive super-king double bed and the luxury of an en suite bathroom. Decorated in blue and white hues, this gorgeous room has a stunning balcony overlooking the creek; the perfect spot to sit and watch the tide ebb and flow. Bedroom two has a four-poster king-size bed and bedroom three is home to bunk-beds with an additional single bed, ideal for the children in the party. Bedroom four has a double bed with the added benefit of an en suite bathroom. The family bathroom on this floor has a bath and fitted shower so you can choose either a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower. There is also a study, perfect if work comes calling or for a quiet read.
Outside, Creekside has a gravelled patio where you can enjoy al fresco dining in the Island sunshine and watch the boats come and go along the creek.
Wootton village is a short stroll away and here you will find a good selection of places to eat and a small Tesco for holiday essentials. The Sloop Inn is close by and the Lakeside Park Hotel which offers luxurious spa treatments and the Brasserie Restaurant. The village has a station for the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, one of the Island's most popular attractions and great fun for all the family. Quarr Abbey should also be on your list of places to visit, a monastery of Benedictine monks where guests can attend worship and enjoy the tea shop, gardens and farm shop.
You may choose a car free holiday on the Island, but if you do decide to travel further afield you will be spoilt for choice. Head for Osborne House, once the rather splendid home of Queen Victoria, now managed by English Heritage where you can discover stunning gardens, a private beach and take a tour of the house. The maritime town of Cowes is a short drive away, with a great selection of independent shops and gorgeous views over the Solent. Head east and explore the charming seaside villages of Seaview and Bembridge where you can visit the only remaining windmill on the Island.
However you plan to spend your precious holiday time you will make happy memories at Creekside.
