Tawny Owl Treehouse

We had a fantastic stay. The cottage its self was great. It’s prefect for couples to get away and spend real quality time together. The views are gorgeous and the surroundings are calm and peaceful. We loved the fact that the cottage has quirky features as well as the fact that a lot of it is up cycled materials. We really had a great time and will defiantly be back again. We stayed at the Tawny Owl Tree house for 3 nights, our first tree house stay. Everything was wonderful, clean, warm, and quiet. The setting is so private, and limited Internet meant we had time to enjoy nature fully. (We got some signal outside the on the decking) I even enjoyed the outdoor shower! The treehouse is stunning! The tranquility of the area is fantastic! We got engaged here!! Would definitely visit again. Value for money 10/10

Booked as a few days of respite following some camping in the Lake District which ended up in some unbelievably hot weather. We arrived to a nice clean place, a couple of chocolates and cheeky wee bottle of wine which was a lovely touch! The shade from the trees helped the treehouse stay a reasonable temperature and eventually when the rain came in (what a relief), it was so cosy hearing the patter on the roof with a cuppa. We had everything we needed to cook a nice meal, although consider picking up groceries on the way to the treehouse as there's a bit of driving on the country roads to get to a shop, although I can't say where the nearest shop actually is, sorry! We didn't make use of the outdoor shower/bath, but the indoor shower was very nice - easy to use with good pressure and temperature control. If you look around the treehouse, you can find all the switches for the exterior lightning and it was nice to adjust it as the day/night went on to keep the cosy feeling. We didn't look too hard, but it didn't look like there were many long walks nearby. There is a lovely landscaped area you look out on to if you want a stroll amongst the trees. We had done plenty of walking on holiday already, so the short stroll after dinner was a nice length for us. Overall, we would definitely book again if we were looking for a quiet getaway slow down for a bit! ...

This is one must-book escape! We had a phenomenal experience from start to finish. A chance to escape and unwind in nature with unique surprises around every corner and on every walk! We will definitely be back, and have left a walking stick for everyone else to discover the hidden gems! Enjoy! ...
