Warm and cosy bungalow ideal for a winter break. Excellent views out to sea.

Mrs McKenzie March 2025

We have stayed in Gull Cottage in the summer and in the winter/early spring and have found the property to be excellent for a break at both times of the year. We particularly like reading in the lounge and looking out at the view across Gerrans Bay. Gull cottage is well placed for taking walks down into Portscatho or along to Porthcurnick beach. We will certainly consider staying there again- maybe in the autumn next time....

Lovely cottage, great location

Mrs Dansey June 2024

One of our best Classic Cottages finds. Beautiful interior decoration & a large, shady garden. Very well equipped & the review is incorrect that says Alexa is needed to operate the television & gadgets, easy to use. The location is superb, a short walk to the coast or village & a short drive to Truro or Falmouth or tourist attractions. ...

Mrs Duckett September 2024

The directions to find the bungalow were excellent, even with the diversions we experienced just before Truro! The view from the bungalow was excellent, especially considering there are another couple or so rows of bungalows in front/below this one. We sat on the sofa in the living area and ate our breakfast looking at the wonderful views. We liked that we were within reasonable walking distance of Portscatho village and also Porthcurnick beach and other beaches too, if you wanted to walk a few more miles. The Hidden Hut which is above Porthcurnick beach is worth a visit with lovely views and food. For eating out, we went to nearby St.Mawes where there is more choice of places to eat. We personally found the staff at the Plume of Feathers unwelcoming. Maybe just caught them on an off day? The opening hours of The Boathouse were confusing and inaccurate with the website saying one thing and their blackboard outside the restaurant saying another thing and then not being open when the board outside said they were. The bungalow was an ideal base to visit the surrounding area. We met the owner, Yvonne, who was a lovely, personable lady. We would definitely recommend staying at the Gull Rock View for anyone wishing to stay in this part of Cornwall....
