Stroll up the lane to watch a cricket match. A glorious way to spend a lazy afteroon.
The beaches along the Jurassic Coast have dog friendly areas all year round, and restrictions are then lifted after September.
There are many historical houses to visit nearby, such as Montacute House.
The iconic Jurassic Coastal landmark of Golden Cap from the beach at Seatown. ( where there is a fabulous pub ! ). Lyme Regis is in the distance

Lyme Regis on the Devon/Dorset border is an easy drive from The Pump House. There is an all year round dog-friendly beach at the far end and beyond the fisherman's buildings on the Cobb harbour itself.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The cottage was well equipped and furnished. The owners were very friendly but not intrusive and had left a lovely cream tea for when we arrived. We loved the private gardens with all the wildflowers. Lots of things to do in the area and within easy reach of the coast. Excellent!...

We had a lovely stay at the Pump House. Clean, comfortable accommodation. We loved the privacy of the location and we had the grounds to ourselves when we were there. Wildlife spotted in the garden included a stoat and a treecreeper. The local cafe/garden centre/ farm shop is very well stocked and the staff were extremely helpful, even giving us a lift in bad weather. Sue's Cafe at Misterton does lovely cakes and the owner gave us a lift when we arrived as it was monsooning down! NOTE: The village pub is currently only open Fridays to Sundays. The local bus 96 isn't calling at the village due to roadworks at nearby Misterton. The nearest pub and bus stop at the moment is at Haselbury Plucknett....
