KingIf you are looking for a holiday off the beaten track, you will find a little slice of Cornish heaven at Carne Haven. Tucked away down a half a mile long private unmade lane, this unique spot is really very special and only shared with a handful of properties.
The owners have beautifully refurbished the house ensuring no comfort is missed so you can walk in the front door and leave your troubles behind. The living space on the first floor has fabulous windows that frame the ever-changing view where you can see for miles over the Cornish coastline. Sink into the comfortable sofas and watch the world pass you by, or perhaps light the wood-burner to enjoy a cosy winter's evening. The kitchen/diner leads to a fabulous conservatory which is a lovely spot to spend time and provides plenty of space for everyone.
On a warm day, open the doors from the conservatory to the fabulous terrace where you can enjoy fine dining with a view. Steps lead down to an enormous decked area with a fabulous outside sofa and an egg chair where you can enjoy an afternoon G&T perhaps whilst looking over tropical plants and the Cornish sea.
The three bedrooms are all individually decorated with a stylish flair; the two bedrooms at the back of the house overlook the lush green banks creating a calm and tranquil feel to the rooms where you will get a good night's slumber. The principal bedroom on the ground floor has views to die for and you will relish waking up here with your morning coffee in bed. The two refurbished bathrooms (en suite and first floor) are a fabulous place to soak away the stresses and strains of everyday life and the third shower-room is great for washing off the sand (not yet refurbished).
Gillan Cove has a little sand and shingle beach; tucked away just inside the mouth of Gillan Creek, and backed by the woodland of the Helford, it really is a little oasis of tranquility. Small Cornish country lanes are filled with luscious greenery and the whole area is an unspoilt gem where time seems to stand still. There is plenty to do with beautiful walks, including the South West Coast Path, pretty countryside and quaint villages to discover by car, boat or on foot.
There is a boatyard in the cove itself and by arrangement the owners are able to offer moorings in the cove plus the storing of any boats or equipment you may bring yourselves for the duration of your stay. Please ask for more information and the owners will put you in direct touch with the boatyard to sort arrangements for your arrival and throughout your stay. Any fees for this service will be agreed by yourselves.

Please note the staircase at this property is a spiral staircase. Please be aware of the speed bumps in the farm track which approaches Carne Haven, do take these slowly and with great care. The track is not suitable for low slung vehicles.
