TwinDelightfully homely and impeccably presented, this historic Cornish farmhouse is ideally located for exploring the glorious beaches, breathtaking coastal walks and famous sailing waters of the Lizard Peninsula and Helford River.
Over 200 years old and beautifully maintained by its owners, the farmhouse is a fine example of Cornish craftsmanship. Set on a working farm and approached by a private lane from the sleepy village of St Martin, it offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, close to the oak-lined banks of the Helford River.
The owners live in the adjoining, self-contained half of the house with their friendly farm dog, Jessie, and will make you feel wonderfully welcome - often with a freshly baked cake waiting on arrival.
Inside, the comfortable open-plan living room has a welcoming open fire in the sitting area and double doors opening onto a large private patio and enclosed lawned garden. Children will love watching the green and blue tractors from the gorgeous wraparound garden, while the trampoline, swings and climbing frame provide plenty of entertainment after a day exploring.
You are perfectly positioned to discover the Helford River from Lower Trenower Farm. Hire a boat from Sailaway St Anthony and explore from the water, or plan a riverside walk followed by a hearty pasty from the much-loved Gear Farm. Gunwalloe Beach, a short drive away, is a beautiful stretch of coast and a well-known filming location for Poldark.
For those looking for adventure, nearby riding stables offer coastal horse riding and pub rides, while Porthkerris is within easy reach for diving excursions around the Manacles. With beaches, boating, walking, riding and diving all close by, there really is something here for the whole family.
