The property itself is lovely and you have use of an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis courts, pickleball court, boules court, football field and children's play-area – just perfect!
65 Lower Maen Cottage has been beautifully furnished and is ready to make your holiday as relaxing as possible. Take the short walk from the car parking area, (approximately 100 metres), down the four steps to the front door where you will be welcomed with nautical decor setting the tone for a seaside holiday. Make your way through the open plan living space to the large windows and take a moment to soak in the view before you settle down with a cup of tea looking out over the Cornish landscape.
The open plan living space is light, spacious and has wonderful views over your terrace, the communal lawns and beyond to the glistening sea. Sit back and relax on the sofas, where there is plenty of space for everyone, overlooking the view or snuggle down in the cooler months and enjoy a good box set or two. French doors lead out to a private patio with comfortable seating for six and sun-loungers to relax on after days on the beach and taking in that stunning outlook. The dining-table is the perfect place to enjoy a slow breakfast planning the day's adventure. The kitchen has Shaker-style units making this property feel very homely and there is everything you need for your holiday including a large American-style fridge/freezer.
Upstairs you will find three fabulous bedrooms; the principal bedroom has fabulous sea views, sit in the window with your morning tea taking in the new day. This bedroom also has a TV for those slow starts and an en suite shower-room with a heated towel rail. The second bedroom has twin 3'6" beds so there is room to stretch out and the third bedroom has bunk-beds, perfect for children and teenagers. There is a family bathroom on the first floor, also with a heated towel rail.
There is a handy ground floor WC with a washing machine and tumble-drier to dry your clothes after a day on the beach.
65 Lower Maen Cottage is the perfect destination all year for any party size, with the great facilities on the estate and easy access on the footpath that leads through the grounds down the steep one in four hill, to pretty Maenporth Beach and cafe. The South West Coast Path is pretty much on your doorstep; you can hop on the path to Falmouth heading left or turn right and find hidden coves on the Helford. There is also a good network of buses to help you explore. There is plenty of parking for 65 Lower Maen Cottage in the shared car park for the cottages, if you want to bring your boat there is space for this too, please contact the estate beforehand. The thriving maritime town of Falmouth is only a short drive away and offers shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants aplenty; keen gardeners will love exploring Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens on the banks of the Helford River, and for active members of the party the north coast surfing beaches are only a 40 minute drive away.
