West Cliff beach is the main beach in Whitby, a fabulous flat sandy beach which stretches for two miles and is perfect for families. There are plenty of facilities here including beach huts, deckchairs to hire and windbreaks. Children will love the donkey rides, crazy golf and trampolines. There's two pay and display car parks nearby and dogs are not allowed on the south end of the beach.

Reputed to be the highest waterfall in the North Yorkshire Moors, Mallyan Spout measures over 70ft and is found via a footpath from the Mallyan Spout Hotel. This beautiful place is quite special and parking is available in the village of Goathland.
Found in the stunning countryside of the North York Moors, The Fox & Hounds dates back to 1555 and this delightful pub has warming real fires for cosy winters and outside seating overlooking the green for summer dining.
