Great seafood

A great place to eat and great seafood. A little pricey, but definitely worth it.

Nearest beach

Situated on the remote, narrow peninsula leading to St Annes Head, this beach is a mile away from the village of Dale and accessed by a walk along the coast path. Here you'll find a sheltered white sandy bay with rock pools towards the eastern end and a few caves to explore. If you're looking for a secluded place then this could be it! Dogs are allowed all year round.

Nearest walk

This seven mile walk starts from the car park in Dale and follows the Pembrokshire coast path around the peninsula to St Ann's Head, past the lighthouse and back to the village. It's a scenic ramble, taking in coves and dramatic cliffs on the way.

Nearest town

A small Welsh village situated in a sheltered valley with a safe shingle beach. With a pub, cafe, watersports and beaches on your doorstep, it makes for the ideal holiday destination.

Off the Hook.

Great beach for families. A walk away from Little Haven at low tide. Fish and chips from Off the Hook a must, even if that’s the only reason you visit Broad Haven for.

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This small inlet is sandy and ideal for a families. There are lots of rockpools to discover so don't forget your bucket and net. At low tide it's possible to walk round to the wide sandy bay next door called The Settlands and further round still to Broad Haven beach. Do check the tides before you visit. Car parking is available in the village and there are three pubs and a cafe for refreshments.

Be prepared!

When we were there (3rd/4th week in August) the sand was never dry. This was not from rain, but a wide-spreading stream and drainage. I was glad I always have a plastic-backed picnic rug.

Pebbles and Sand

Lovely little pebble beach at high tide.
Lovely massive sandy beach at low tide…

A small family run cafe and shop on the front offering snacks, meals and beverages, an ideal place to stop for refreshments after a walk along the beach.

A family friendly eatery in the heart of the village offering local produce, sharing plates and stone baked pizza. This little gem of a place is a well kept secret and it's best to book ahead. Dogs are welcome and there's out door seating and a roof top terrace.
